No, you will need 750ml for a 2.8 litre engine

For engines up to 1400cc use the 500ml bottle, for engines above 1400 use the 750ml bottle. If your Vauxhall is an automatic then I wouldn't use it at all as you could do more harm than good.

Sorry, I don't know but suspect the answer would be 'no'. I think the way this stuff works is that it provides a slippy lubricant on the engine cylinders i.e. I've used this (snake oil) on several cars in the oil but only ever been persuaded it works when an old bmw E30 325 virtually lost all its oil but still ran ok and didn't seize or overheat.

Q: Will this quieten my diesel engine which suffers from diesel knock ??

No sorry it is my understanding it will not. Knocking is more or less unavoidable in diesel engines, where fuel is injected into highly compressed air towards the end of the compression stroke. There is a short lag between the fuel being injected and combustion starting. It doesnt have anything to do with friction as such nor can it be reduced or removed with slick 50. Hope that helps.
