Very effective and fun
It does exactly what it's billed to do, plus a lot more. My adult son and I have been having a blast getting rid of bugs in and outside of our home.

Best $40 I have spent in awhile
This thing works exactly as advertised. If you want to make the frustration of annoying pests into a cheap fun game, this is the way to do it. This version did work on a hornet that was after me, but it took 4 shots to put it out for good. The sights are amazingly accurate out to about 5 feet. The gun only really has an effective range of the 3 feet advertised. I love that the ammunition is so cheap and sanitary. It turns an aggravation into a little fun. Mosquitos just disappear when hit. Your average house spider seems to be about as tough as the hornets. I have fired hundreds of rounds through mine without a hitch. It actually seems to function better after used some. If it quits, I will be buying another, as I feel I already got my money's worth from this one. Highly recommended for anyone that despises flies. Have some fun solving a problem.

Too much fun, a lot of improvement since the first generation.
Had one of these at a bar I worked at about 10 years ago. I remember it being a lot of fun then though it seemed a little janky and leaked salt out of the barrel.Fast forward to 2 weeks ago I purchased a version 3 for my garage and I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. I jump at the chance to go hunt some flys and have even started bringing it to the flip house I've been working on.Creators I hope you read this! Though I got the model with the fiber optic sights I couldn't help but epoxy and screw a picatinny rail on and mount a cheap red dot! Completely novelty but cool to be able to get use out of a cheap optic laying around and makes it easy easier to keep both eyes open whilst on the hunt. I was able to mount it low enough to still utilize the iron sights if removed. I even drilled into the clamshell to set a couple screws and the gun still works flawlessly. Would love to see this standard on a newer model.Overall I couldn't be happier with the version 3 and will definitely be buying more in the future.(UPDATE)it's now winter but after killing many many flies in my garage we had a crazy wave of yellow jackets for about a month. Enough to cause terror to my 6 year old and preventing her from playing outside. Though you need to be significantly closer to them this gun will kill yellow jackets. I'd say 50% of the time it's a one shot but at minimum it knocks them out of the air giving a good stomp opportunity. Ended up putting a sling on the gun and just wearing it outside.

Good for flies when they land, ants, and very small spiders. But that’s about it.
Decent for flies and very small spiders. But that’s about it. Honestly a fly swatter is more effective.Hitting a fly out of the sky is like using chopsticks to catch it. Once it lands, it’s dead meat though. But I just as soon use a fly swatter at that point. If the fly lands slightly out of reach though, it is decent for eliminating it.It’s ok for flies and very small spiders. But useless for most everything else.It is practically worthless for wasps and bees.Damn near impossible to hit the Wasp in flight. Even at point blank, it barely fazes the Wasp. You may get lucky and temporarily knock it down, but you better be quick and step on it.It is fun for the kids to mess around with for a little while. But they get bored pretty quick once they realize it’s only effective on flies and ants.If it were cheaper, I would say it’s worth it for the novelty, and for the kids to have fun for a little while. But for 50? A fly swatter and wasp spray is a lot cheaper and more effective.

Take it camping every time.
Totally love this little gun. LOL! It is a ton of fun and gives you a lovely feeling when you can take vengeance on some stupid horse flies that have been constantly attacking you. It is fairly effective with smaller flies and spiders. Takes a few close shots to put down horse and deer fly. But in my opinion it lets you get close to them quickly, shoot them to stun them, then you show them how much you like them with your boot while they are trying to get back up. Works great and absolutely improves your chances of getting your target by a major number. Love this thing!
