Absolutely awesome
When my old microwave dish was dropped and got a crack in it, it was going to be a few week b4 another one would be delivered so I decided to ck for other ones and decided to try this one. It arrived and when I opened it, I wasn't impressed because it was so much lighter than my previous one. Well news flash to me, it proved me wrong. I absolutely love it. I love the way it cooks. My bacon came out perfect and what's even better is the cleanup. The other dish I have to soak in bleach for the longest because it stains so bad. This one the clean up is just a matter of dumping the grease, putting it in the dish water and it looks brand new. I definitely would recommend and will be buying a backup, perhaps 2 backups and I think it will make amazing gifts if you don't know what to give someone for Chritmas or abirthday present

Quality, price point, and easy to use.
Been looking for this product for awhile. I first purchased this product several years ago at a local department store. It only recently started to show it's age. I purchased this product approximately 20 years ago. So quality is superior, easy to use, cleaning is easy. One a scale from 1 to 10 I'll give it a 10.

Best cooked bacon!
I love this little invention. It takes all of the drippings of grease off of your bacon so you are left with a perfectly cooked piece to eat. The middle of the bacon where it hangs over the bar tends to not get cooked as well as the rest of it, but it is still cooked and makes it easy to bend back into a flat piece of bacon. You'll understand once you use it! I like to let the drippings cool so I can easily wipe it out into the trash. Never pour it down your sink!!! Dishwasher safe and it comes out perfectly clean. Overall, great invention.

Easiest and Best I've used
By far the easiest, least messy way that I've found to make bacon. Very easy to clean. To stop splatters, I recommend draping paper towels BOTH directions over the bacon dish (I trim the towels with scissors so they don't hit the microwave door when the glass carousel is rotating). I used to use a microwave bacon platter but not anymore!

Used it for over 10 years - A+
I read the negative reviews because I was surprised there were any. I little common sense should resolve most of the issues (bacon comes out hot, won't evenly cook 10 or 12 slices at a time, etc.) I found this thing at Wal@a$t over 10 years ago. Still using it. the only reason I am back for another is that after the dogs getting ahold of it a few times, one of the supports is gone and the corner is all chewed up - dogs like bacon grease! I was thrilled to find it on amazon because I really didn't think I would find it again since I have never seen it since in a store. This is the best way to cook bacon I have ever used. One half sheet of paper towel to catch the splatter and I can cook at least 8 slices (depends on the bacon, thickness, etc.) at a time. Yes, it does stick together if you lay it atop another piece. For me, I usually cook no more than 8 slices, making sure they don't touch, so they don't stick. I have never had bacon "slide off" in over 10 years of using this. Bacon is always even and crisp. You do need to adjust for different bacon, but that is true no matter how you cook it. I have a turntable microwave so I can watch it and judge whether it needs more or less time, but I don't usually because it is very consistent. In nearly all cases, it comes out perfectly since I have learned how much time for my microwave for the different types of bacon I buy. And this is not a complicated process. Figure for most 1000 watt microwaves, it will be close to a minute a slice for regular thickness for very crisp bacon. If I have a new brand or cut or something I haven't made in a while (such as thicker or thinner than the last few pounds), I just cook it for less time than I expect it needs and add time after checking it. Then I know exactly how much time for the remainder of that package of bacon. It really is very easy to figure and then you know. And you just cannot beat the even cooking! The only time I would think of going a different way would be if for some reason I needed long strips for presentation purposes because the bacon does come out folded in half. Usually, I just break it at the fold and serve it as short pieces. I keep small plastic tubs to dump the grease and wash it in the dishwasher - either top rack or botton, supports in the flatware basket - haven't had a problem. It also fits in any drawer for storage because of its shape. Brilliant! I have a lot of kitchen gadgets and tools; I am a serious cook. For quick, efficient bacon cooking, I use this exclusively!

Best bacon method I have ever used,
I love, love, love the makin bacon dish! I must have bought my original one back in the early 1990's, which was lost when we moved recently. I was so happy when I found that it was still available at Amazon, com. It is the best bacon cooking method that I have ever used. If you don't overload the dish (I usually only put two strips of bacon on each rack at a time), wrap long strips of paper towels around it in a criss-cross fashion so that all sides are covered and the paper towel ends are long enough to tuck securely underneath you will avoid the grease splatters. Yes, the bacon is draped over the little "racks" and yes the raw bacon ends will touch the bottom of the dish when you start out, but they shrink up as they cook and will not be in the grease when finished. The bacon cooks quickly so you can make as many batches as needed pretty fast. Using the handle and tipping the dish to a corner, the grease is easy to pour out for disposal or into the stainless steel fat storage keeper if you are an old-fashioned southern cook and save the bacon grease for cooking/flavor for favorite dishes. I was surprised/glad to see an improvement has been made so that there is now a little piece added to hold the racks in place when in storage. It can be washed in your dishwasher (I would wash the little racks by hand.) Personally I wash my makin bacon by hand in hot soapy dish water, as it cleans really easily.

This item works really well. I put the strips on in one minute increments and check them after. This is a handy little kitchen addition to have. Easy to use, no splatter, simple clean up. Excellent. Glad I bought.

Does a good job of cooking bacon. It take a few minutes and the strips turn out flat. Put paper towels over top of it while it cooks and there's no splatter in the microwave.
