Great product!
Fabulous! Worked a miracle on a quilt that was discolored from age-it looks brand new! I let it soak overnight in sink, than put in washer and dryer-perfection! All the yellowing removed-delighted!

WOW!! What an amazing product!!
Wow!!! This product is amazing. This cross stich was framed without glass & was in really bad shape. I read the reviews & decided to give it a try. I was hoping for the best & was really surprised at how much it cleaned. This was after washing it in Dawn dish soap twice & then 48 hours soaking in Retro Clean. It also removed the mildew smell. Some people have commented that it's expensive but you only use 3-4 tablespoons for 1 gallon of water. It was easy to use too. I did put a bowl on top to keep it submerged.

Turns stained yellowed antique clothes bright white!
I’m an antique dealer with a specialty in antique and retro clothing. Retro Clean is my go-to cleaning agent for cleaning these clothes, and I find it particularly helpful in whitening items that have yellowed with age. My method is to fill a large plastic container with very warm (but not hot) water (I use the container that cheese balls come in), add Retro Clean and swirl it around to dissolve it. Add clothes and add more water to get it to the very top, then put the cover on it. I then wrap it in a towel and place the whole thing in a thermal bag. I then let it sit for 48 hours. Rinse well once the time is up. Once in a while I have to put the items back in, but for the most part they come out a bright white. Note that I have not found this safe for clothing that is dyed. Attached are photos of a 1915 dress that came to me heavily stained. Retro Clean took it all out.

Worked great on antique quilt.
Took the yellow out of an 80 year old quilt without affecting the colors. Soaked it in the bathtub for about an hour. Then rinsed and hung in the sun to dry. Water almost immediately turned yellow showing how fast it worked so I didn’t leave it soaking as long as some reviews.

Works about as well as Restoration, doesn't remove odors though
I buy a lot of vintage linens at estate sales ... normally I use a combination of Restoration and/or Biz and/or OxyClean to get them clean, but I thought I'd try this product as the Restoration I normally use was listed at something like $800 for a bucket, LOL. I purchased this for about $18 for a one pound bag, which IMO is too expensive. I was surprised at how small a one pound bag actually is. It's really difficult to say if it restored the linens as well as Restoration because each piece is different, but I thought it did a good job. I soaked a bunch of linens (hankies, pillow cases, kitchen towels) overnight and there was a big difference when they were done. A few pieces still had some stains/discoloration, so I did another soak in Biz for those and between the two of them, just about every spot/yellowing/browning was gone. I did notice that this product didn't get the musty smell out of the linens at all. Biz did a great job at that, though. You do want to be sure that whatever you're trying to clean is color safe or risk having it fade or run. One of my pieces, a child's apron, had a color run (red) after being soaked. It wasn't really a big deal to me because I bought it for $2 and for the purpose I was planning to use it for, if it wasn't color safe it's better that I found out now. But if you have an heirloom piece, be careful.

Amazing Product!!!
I ordered this to attempt to clean a 50+ year old dainty handkerchief that I had carried in my wedding and had been used by numerous family members as their "something old." I was yellowed and stained. This product took out every stain and left it like new! So impressed!
