USB Adapter for PlayStation Classic

Some hiccups at first but works great now. I was able to connect my PS4 controller to the classic, change the regions back to NTSC instead of PAL using only this adapter and a PS4 controller, and games are so much better to play. Some things that I’ve ran into and that I’ve heard other people having issues with: 1) When I initially paired my PS4 controller to the adapter, none of the hot keys worked (ps button for reset, button combo for emulator settings) or the classic would say “unable to recognize controller”. I fixed this by disconnecting the PS4, controller, using a paper clip to hit the rest button on the back of the controller, and reconnecting it to the adapter. It’s been fine and haven’t had that issue ever since. 2) A mouse cursor appears over some menu and games. If I see it, it always disappears for the rest of the time I have the PlayStation on if I unplug the adapter and plug it back it. I’m assuming they’ll prob fix this in a firmware update for the adapter so not a big deal. Overall if you’re considering this for your classic, I’d say it’s well worth the money, made the classic much more playable.

I have trusted 8Bitdo to make high quality gaming peripherals many times and they have never disappointed, including with this device. I used it to hook up my WiiU Pro controllers to my Switch that have desperately needed some use. After ironing out quirks with installing firmware updates, syncing my controller, and sleeping the console, everything works perfectly. The joysticks have analog inputs, buttons are mapped correctly, and I don't miss the rumble (too much). ***However, the oversight of not being able to plug two of these adapters into the front of the dock or at least one inside the dock may be a huge deal-breaker to some people. To achieve this involves a USB extension cable that has a thinner plug, which will make the whole setup unwieldy.*** Despite this, as a single unit the device works exactly as intended and you will not be disappointed by its compatibility and ease of use. I'd recommend it to anyone that wants to save a bit of money by using their leftover WiiU Pro controllers.

I got this to easily use my ps4 controllers on my pc wirelessly without having to mess with janky drivers like DS4Windows and others. Complete plug and play, works flawlessly. Plug into your pc, put it in and your controller in pair mode, and it just connects and works. The 20 bucks was worth not having the headache to configure everything, especially if you dont already have onboard bluetooth as it is. switching between modes (xbox, ps4, switch, xinput) is quick, easy and seamless. I have had this thing for a few years and its never given me an issue.

Short answer: If you have a PS4 controller laying around this Bluetooth adapter works great with it. I bought this so I can play from my couch and not have to sit directly in front of the tv do to the short wires on the controllers that came with the classic. Pairing the PS4 controller was a breeze as all you have to do is press the pairing button on the adapter then press and hold share and PlayStation home button on the controller until the light bar starts flashing. Occasionally a mouse cursor will appear on the screen which can be annoying but to get rid of it is pretty simple. Just unplug the adapter out of the ps classic and plug it back in and it should make the cursor disappear. After your first pair to the Bluetooth adapter, all you have to do is press the PlayStation button on your controller to get it working. This works with other controllers too but I only use it with a ds4. Pro tip: before even using the adapter, update the firmware on it by visiting 8bitdo’s website.

I use this to connect an extra PS4 controller for use on my Switch. That has been amazing for large group games with my family when we need an extra controller, or when I want a familiar button layout for games like Breath of the Wild. This has saved me from needing to purchase another expensive Pro controller! My big caution is to be careful when updating the firmware. I assume that newer was better and immediately updated the firmware from the 8Bitdo website. That actually broke the thing for me, but it was quickly fixed by (randomly) picking an other firmware to flash using their easy tool. What I should have done was just not messed with it and left good enough alone to being with!

Prima di fare una recensione l'ho voluto provare per bene e che dire , prodotto eccellente. Nella ps1 Classic funziona perfettamente, e funziona perfettamente anche nella switch . Con una 15ina di euro puoi usare il dual shock 4 (a parer mio il miglior controller che ora come ora esista) , in queste 2 console , senza alcuna installazione e 0 lag. Ho anche apprezzato come è fatto esteticamente . Assolutamente soddisfatto .

ACTUALIZO A 5 ESTRELLAS Me respondio el soporte oficial, mi problema era tan simple como no actualizar a la última version (1.22) sino a la anterior (1.21) y con ello funciona perfecto, otro dato, para emparejas mandos de PS3, aparte de instalar el driver que ya en la web de 8bitdo aportan y explican, una vez lo sincronizas a la PS Classic pero te sale el mensaje "no se reconoce el mando" pulsas en el mando SELECT+ABAJO (D-Pad) durante unos segundos y el mando se apagará, le vuelves a dar al boton PS y ya deberia funcionar OK. - - - - - - - He intentado hacer funcionar 2 dualshocks3, 3 dualshock4 y 2 Joycons, y nada, los empareja si, pero la PS Classic dice "no se detecta mando", lo he actualizado y puesto todos los drivers pero nada, se que funciona porque en PC si reconoce bien los mandos, pero en PS Classic no, he contactado con el soporte oficial, y cuando me arreglen el tema quizás le cambie la puntuación...

Ich habe den Adapter an der Nintendo Switch um meine PS4-Controller zu nutzen. Die Installation und Pairing sind dank der beiliegenden Anleitung sehr leicht und schnell. Er funktioniert einwandfrei, die Übertragung ist perfekt, der Controller wird in allen Controller-kompatiblen Games erkannt. Die Verarbeitung des Sticks ist sehr wertig und er wirkt auch stabil. Dadurch dass es sich um sehr leichtes Kunstoff handelt würde ich ihn trotzdem nicht gerne fallen sehen. Preis/Leistung ist meiner Meinung nach ok. Für ca. 20 Euro ist es auf jeden Fall besser als einen dedizierten Controller für die Switch kaufen zu müssen. D.h. wenn man bereits Controller hat, wie die PS4-Controller, ist es definitiv günstiger. Einziger echter Wehrmutstropfen: Aufgrund der Größe des Sticks, lassen sich an der Front der Switch nur ein Stick einstecken :-( D.h. für mehr als einen Controller muss man eine USB-Weiche dazuholen. Ich habe einen zweiten geholt und es getestet. Dennoch: Für mich insgesamt die 5 Sterne wert!

Este dispositivo es perfecto para conectar tus controles ps3,ps4,xbox,nintendo etc a tu PC y Nintendo Switch, incluso funciona en otras plataformas como Android y Sega Mini tengo entendido pero yo solo he probado en PC y NS, la compatibilidad es extrema y todo funciona al 100% en los mandos, tienes que actualizarle el firmware para mejorar su funcionalidad y su compatibilidad pero no te preocupes es super sencillo actualizarlo, basta con entrar a la pagina oficial de 8bitdo y descargar un software que lo hace todo, estoy muy feliz con mi compra, en mi caso ya he comprado este dispotivo Gris y el otro que es color Naranja que tambien lo venden aqui en amazon y no me arrepiento, es la mejor opcion para no gastar una fortuna en unos mandos para tu Nintendo Switch.
