Great tool when using “Language Learning with Netflix“
I purchased this bluetooth keypad with a very specific goal in mind—and this turned out to be tremendously successful, truly exceeding expectations. In order to be able to watch Netflix movies with subtitles both in the original language and in English, I use the Chrome extension, “Language Learning with Netflix”. However, since this extension currently only works with Chrome and when Chrome is running on an actual computer, this means I must use HDMI output from the computer into a TV monitor. A beauty of the system, though, is the ability to move quickly back and forth, pause, and the like—which is controlled by using the up, down, left, and right arrow buttons on the computer’s keypad. Well, with this relatively inexpensive remote keypad that includes the 4 arrow keys, all can be accomplished while sitting at a comfortable viewing distance, with great ease. And because the remote is so lightweight, simply holding it in one’s hand continuously is essentially effortless. The arrow keys are extremely easy to locate just by feel, so one’s eyes never need to leave the screen. The device connected to my MacBook Pro laptop very easily. I use the on-off switch to turn it off after use to save battery life (theoretically, although I haven’t yet had to do a battery change, despite many hours of usage). And then when I switch it back on, it connects back to the computer almost instantly, with no fiddling needed on my part. As a bonus, the number keys themselves have further usefulness when using this system, since they can be used to slow down or speed up playback speed. Highly recommended product.

It works - nothing special but it works
Initially thought it was DOA because it wouldn't turn on. Tried a different battery than the one supplied but still no joy. Tried one more trick - cycled the on-off button very firmly several times back and forth, and voila! It came to life. So if yours doesn't respond right away, work that one-off button a bit!Once paired to my MacBook Pro 14" 2021 M-1 Max, it worked fine. I did some data entry into an Excel spreadsheet and it worked perfectly. Haven't tried speed entry but I am very used to 10 key calculators in office work, so I wasn't particularly slow. It caught every keypress. This unit is plastic, not aluminum like the MBP, but it is the right color (Space Grey) and matches the laptop well. I would certainly like an aluminum unit with backlit keys, but am happy with this inexpensive alternative because it does the job I need done - entering numbers in spreadsheets. We'll see about battery life and durability and I'll amend the review if anything glaring comes up. For now, it's a good buy at a very reasonable price and it works.UPDATE As of August 6 it is still going strong (a month or so on the original battery). I do remember to turn it off when not in use, so that does extend battery life. I don't trust the auto-off on any device. If you use it with a MacPro or iPad, get the app "pCalc". This little number pad enters directly into the calculator app, and using RPN logic it runs as fast as you can type. Revising the rating from 4 to 5 stars.

Good for $20
It works and connects easily to Bluetooth devices. Battery holds up and the scissor switch is high quality enough for what it is. The base will concave inwards pressing the “5” key so that key is really squishy.

Doesn’t last long
Second one I bought in 2 years. However, the first one lasted longer than the second. I bought it in October and it stapled working in December. Same thing happened 2 years ago. I thought it was a fluke, but many people agree. It’s not a good product.

Very worthy little ten key
So far this is the cat’s meow. I had another brand that failed miserably so I returned it and bought this one. I am very pleased so far. I had some sort of little glitch when I connected it this time but I managed to get it. We will see if it glitches again as it should just connect as soon as I turn the power button on. The ten key pad is awesome for inputting numbers into a spreadsheet program using my Ipad pro. Also, something I found out - I had read that only two bluetooth items could be connected to this Ipad at once. Not the case, so far I have a keyboard, a mouse and this ten key all connected at once and it sure makes navigating, typing for emails, inputting numbers to crunch etc. soo much easier. So much more efficient than trying to type anything with the on screen keyboard. It would take days to write an email of any useable size with the onscreen keyboard where I can type damn near as quick with the little chicklet keyboard compared to a full size keyboard in a matter of a few minutes - so heads up for the uninitiated as I was until now.

Doesn't work as well with my iPhone as I had hoped
The main use I purchased this for was when using the iPhone calculator to tally up grocery purchases when I shop for friends. Unfortunately, while it was easy to pair with my phone, and it works with other iPhone apps, the calculator does not recognize it. I may have better luck with a 3rd party app.The other drawback when used with the iPhone and my checkbook app is that when the number pad is connected I can't type text onscreen. While this is a limitation of the iOS, it does severely limit the usefulness of this number pad on iPhone. I will likely keep it and use it with my laptop but it isn't working for what I had hoped it would.
