Borgeson 800114 Power Steering Conversion Box

Unfortunately, the engineers at Borgeson couldnt or didnt stay at work long enough to consider simple 3/8" input/output NPT threads for readily available 90 degree fittings or a common 3/4" steering shaft coupler size. There must have been good dancers at the bar that night. I called them, the guy said to "weld and bend and bend and weld" the Z-Bar in my antique muscle car. Ive spent so much time researching the parts to make this steering box convert and function I could have justified a Rack and Pinion conversion. They do however sell a really expensive 11/16" half coupler though. Ill never buy anything Borgeson again in my life. My apologies to the seller.

Part is scratched but don't think it was used . Has oil on the outside of it for some reason . Just hope it works when i have time to put it on . Someone tried installing this on a vehicle and it did not fit i assume is what happened . Would be nice if amazon told people it was a returned part .

I purchased this item in January 2019, it was installed in my 1966 ford fairlane gt and if it was driven 500 miles with this steering box along with the ps pump and ps lines it was a lot. After the installation the pump lines never really looked as if they had seated correctly so of course they leaked. The pump or steering box made a loud grinding noise after about 300 miles when I turned the car to the right. the PS pump always leaked from the filler cap. This set up is not cheap to purchase and after 1 year of use and 500 miles at best this is junk as far as I m concerned. Don't buy I will be looking to recover my money.

Very nice setup on my 69 Ranchero, I had to do some trimming on the floor board and on the end of the column but all of that is expained on Borgeson's website as well as on the printed installation instruction that came with it. The only gotcha is that the pressure hose was too short, I was able to take it down to a local hose shop an have that addressed. My vehicle steers and tracks almost like a new car now!

I installed the borgeson box several years ago on this sedan delivery. I used the solid coupler. A little noisy but got use to it. The Saginaw pump is recommended with the units cause it makes more pressure. The unit as a whole is very quality and designed nice. Their are some mods involved but when it's all done its a movie star
