This Stuff Works
TL;DR: Bag looks tiny but lasts a long time. Almost no taste—just makes water taste softer. No sweeteners. No calories. Just electrolytes that dissolve smoothly and work well. ---The Details--- I actually bought this as something to keep around just in case my husband or I got sick. Then came a week of intensive ballet training with masks to reduce the likelihood of COVID-19 transmission. While the human body cools itself primarily by sweating, not being able to breathe fresh, cool air makes that job harder. I'm someone who both sweats a lot and loses a ton of salt in my sweat (seriously: when my work clothes dry, they sport large, visible patches of white salt; animals think I'm a walking salt lick; and I can slowly dissolve steel bikes just by sweating on them). In a mask, I sweat even more, which honestly I didn't even think was possible. I was also coming off of 10 weeks on a highly-reduced training schedule—down from a minimum 30 hrs/wk dancing, I've been averaging about 10 hrs/week at something short of the usual intensity due to space restrictions. Needless to say, although I usually take proactive measures so I won't become electrolyte-depleted, by the end of Day 1 of summer intensive, my legs were cramping in that special way that says, "Get some electrolytes, bozo," and I was experiencing the nausea, burgeoning headache, and brain fog that indicate the early stages of hyponatremia (which I've had before: 0/10, do not recommend o.O). I don't do sugary drinks except on very rare occasions (seriously—like I might have one or two per year, usually when I've forgotten to eat and my blood sugar has well and truly tanked to the point that I can't function), so I bought two 32-oz Gatorade Zeros on the way home. Then I remembered that I had this stuff waiting in the wings. That evening I mixed some up—one batch plain, one batch with some cherry-flavored store-brand Crystal Lite knockoff just in case the plain stuff turned out to be undrinkable. I drank the cherry batch that night and discovered that it slightly alters the flavor—I use that cherry-esque mix because it's got a bit of tartness instead of just unadulterated sweetness, which is usually too much for me. Hydrolyte seemed to cancel out that tartness (some True Lime powder restored it pretty reasonably). I brought the plain Hydrolyte-water batch and the second Gatorade Zero (again, just in case) with me the next day. And though I approached the plain Hydrolyte-water blend with caution, by the end of the day I was wishing I'd skipped the Gatorade and just brought extra Hydrolyte. Y'all, I'm officially a believer. In short, Hydrolyte doesn't really add anything to the flavor of plain water. Our tap water is super hard, but delicious, and with Hydrolyte added it just winds up tasting like Ph-neutral bottled water. More importantly, Hydrolyte does its job really well. I came through the rest of the week without drifting into the territory of hyponatremia, even though we continued to work really hard and I continued to sweat buckets. And in case anyone has any delusions about ballet being a gentle art, please realize that study after study has found that male ballet dancers are among the fittest men on earth. This is because our job, every single day, effectively involves the equivalent of running a marathon or so while intermittently launching our own body weight as high into the air as possible and lifting other humans, also often as high as possible. The ladies work just as hard. Oh, and there's usually no off-season (2020 excepted). If this stuff can help me, a walking salt lick, get through my day of exercising in a way that probably indicates that I'm at least a little bit off my rockers while sweating like a cold glass of lemonade in July and working my butt off, it can probably help you in your own sweaty pursuits. Oh, and because it's not delivered in a sweet drink, I'll be able to drink this stuff even if I *am* borderline hyponatremic, at which point I usually find the idea of anything sweet (like most sports drinks) utterly revolting. When my ballet company goes back to work, Hydrolyte will be coming with me. I honestly didn't expect it to be this good—I figured that either I'd hate the flavor or out just wouldn't work well enough for my particular condition. I have never been happier to be completely and utterly wrong! Also: I paid full price for my Hydrolyte and was not in any way paid or reimbursed for this review. It's fully my own independent opinion. I'm just that impressed.

8 reasons I keep buying this.
In short, it’s a great, no sugars of any kind, comprehensive electrolytes powder, not just for athletes, that works! Let me just start by admitting thatI’m not an athlete and I drink WAY too much water, it’s my vice. It may sound silly but just like someone having an addiction to sugar, alcohol, cigarettes, drugs… it’s hard to control since it’s not like I can just quit. As a result I tend to flush out my electrolytes; light headed, eye auras, racing heart, muscle cramps… I’ve tried many alternatives and yes, I try to restrict how much water I drink but sometimes I slip up and drink too much before I realize it. This electrolyte powder is (probably literally) a life saver. First: I don’t like to do sugars of any kind (artificial, natural, alcohols) so it’s really hard to find products these days that don’t have them. I tried lots of other options and just could not get past the sweetness and artificial taste factor (not to mention the real harm they are all doing to the body). Unlike the ones that have sugar alcohols that cause gastrointestinal issues and diarrhea (defeats the purpose of using it), this is the ideal wish list; all the electrolytes with none of the sugars or side effects. Second: It mixes well in everything, a tiny bit gritty at the bottom so shake or stir well. I hate the taste of salt and while this has a slight salty taste and turns your drink a bit cloudy, it’s not a turn off. So ingredients and taste are a thumbs up. Third: Price is OK and compared to other (quality no sugars ones) quality ones but still $30 for 10oz is hard to justify when there are those half the price. I get the temptation to pay less for something else. Fourth: So why do I keep buying it (been using it exclusively now for 3 years)? Because it works! As soon as I start to feel fuzzy, headache, eye auras, cramps, any of the signs of low electrolytes…. I pour 1 scoop into a bottle of water and drink it. Within maybe 15-30 minutes, I feel great again. Fifth: I have never had any negative side effects from using this powder. Sixth: This is not just for athletes. If you do anything to deplete your electrolytes or get dehydrated: sweat being outside too long, have diarrhea, are sick, drink too much water, drink too much coffe or tea, get dehydrated… you need to have this on hand already. Research the signs of dehydration and depleted electrolytes so you will recognize when you need to use it. Seventh: It has a long shelf life, so you can just keep it in a cool dry cabinet, ready when you need it. Eight: With no flavor, you can add it to anything. If I don’t have a lemon or lime (or time), I keep regular Gatorade (not that zero stuff with sugar alcohols that can mess you up) on hand and add a little to my water to give it a hint of taste to mask the slight salt flavor. From my experience with it, I highly recommend this powder.

Excellent for hydration
This product has a little bit of a sweet taste if you mix it with water. You can mix it with other drinks drinks and not taste the powder. It has a good amount of salt and is very easy to mix into drinks. It dissolves very easily. It is a good quality product.

Good but Supplement Facts feels deceptive to me
I actually like the product, but I think the label is misleading. The typical FDA use for daily value is 2300mg of sodium, making 600mgs 26%, not 13%. It feels deceptive to me to list it in a manner that makes it seem like it's less than it is, for folks not doing the math. Other than that, the taste is good and it functions well, although I do half a scoop.

Happy with this product
A perfect addition to my morning protein shake. Because of its slight sweetness, it's fine added to yogurt, oatmeal, or probably any sweet dish, but I mixed it with mashed potatoes & it wasn't a good idea. I have this on a subscription plan and the seller is very reliable & I am always notified prior to shipment so I can make desired changes.

Not 100% unflavored, no spoon
I was suprised to find that the unflavored version has a very small hint of berry flavoring. I'm not sure if this is cross contamination or is how the unflavored vers tastes but it was a little disappointing since I was planning to add to other things and the existing flavor might contribute some undesirable combinations. Overall it still tastes ok, just wasn't what I expected. I also didn't get a scoop, although to be honest I did not dig around inside the power to the bottom since it's too messy. If there is a spoon I wish they'd attach it on top or something. I still rate it as decent and will likely buy again since it does work well as an electrolyte. It helped me recover each day during a recent backpacking trip better than other products. I like the no sugar or stevia as well as the cost.

No sweeteners, safe to drink daily.. But the system do not allow more than 1 packet per order. I have to buy separately and pay for delivery! Thus giving 3 stars .

Provides with the essential electrolytes without the artificial taste of other brands.

A few months into Keto and after seeing a Dr, started taking this supplement. It actually gives a boost that lasts several hours. The taste is fine, sorta non-descript. Just mix a scoop in 50 ml water, skull it down, then drink a cup of water as needed.

Perfect no added nasties, can be added to your favorite drink without compromising flavor.

Great product. If they could somehow find a way to add some flavour without any I'd give it 5 stars, but you get used to it
