The old original hinges on my Igloo 4' cooler were breaking and worn enough that the front latches wouldn't hold. Found these after several searches - but they were metal and a different design, but the price was good so I took a chance. They fit to the original holes perfectly and I re-used the old screws without any issues. Now it opens & closes like new and the front latches hold like they're supposed to!

Quick installation and perfect fit. The original plastic hinges are clearly the weak point in the ice chest. Add years more service to your chest with these simple modifications. If your plastic hasn’t already broken, they will. In turn you’ll probably break or damage the internal lid straps. Save yourself the headache and buy these now.

I love the Igloo brand for long ice-life coolers. But the original plastic hinges and latch are a disgrace! Being cheap, I kept buying the cheap plastic replacements. Big Mistake - those kept failing the same way just too frequently! These metal hinges are quite a bit more expensive, but seem to be well built and I am glad I bought them. I expect them to last much much longer.

Used on big white igloo cooler. Easy to install. Didn’t use screws provided, I reused the old igloo cooler screws. They looked more sturdy and since they hadn’t shown any signed of rust didn’t want to take a chance on using the screws that came with the hinges and have them rust on me.

I am REALLY pleased with these hinges....light years ahead of the crappy plastic hinges they come with. After breaking the original plastic hinges, ordered these and installed them. Screws are good quality, stainless steel, and they even sent a couple extra. Hinges are not super heavy duty, but for an ice chest lid they look to be more than adequate. I am thrilled with the price, ease of installation, and was able to save my favorite fish box!!

Item is not exact fit for 54qt, 2hinge Igloo cooler. Hinge holes are correct side to side. Hinge holes top to bottom are too wide, by1/8". Hinge will screw into place but lifts the back of cooler lid up so it doesn't seal as before. Gave it 3 stars only because after some alterations was able to get a tight seal with smooth operation. Doubt most people even notice until they use it and notice ice doesn't last as long. It is a 3 hinge set so maybe there is a difference between the smaller coolers and the large ones.

Put these on last summer around the end of June. They fit, function as expected and are much stronger than the regular plastic ones that come on the cooler. Which broke after a year or two. The one issue I have is the screws are poor quality stainless. As you can see after less than one year many of the screws are "stained" , rusted. I opted to replace the existing screws which were still in good shape. Guess I should have kept them.

I've been using two Igloo coolers for the past couple years with the broken plastic hinges. A couple ratchet straps were used to keep the lids on. I finally decided to fix them up and got these hinges, and I'd say there is very little chance they will ever have to be replaced again. They are very well built, and I highly recommend them.
