Love it. Cannot use it though. I am not very good at this?

Horrible! I've had toy typewriters that were better made than this piece of junk. Out of the box the keys stick, blurry strikes against the page and inconsistent spacing between letters and words. Cheap. Tacky. Junk. Royal should be ashamed to have their name attached to this joke.

Had to use wd40 just to get it to work. More of a toy than a typewriter. take lots of push to get a letter print. If your going to type a lot do not bother with this. Sad world wher it is hard to find a manual typewriter, that works well. even back in the day a good manual cost hundreds of dollars. maybe some smart young person, can reinvent the manual typewriter. best bet would use a wind up mec, to throw the keys, and the pressure on the keys just to release it. a manual typewriter with the ease of an electric one. When u add up the cost of an electric printer, the cartridges, ect. many in the world can not afford it. All libraries should have good manual typewriters. The day the power goes out for months, people will be looking for manual typewriters. every survivalist should have one. And every child should not only learn to print they should learn cursive. At least to sign their names.

Bought this for my sister for Christmas. She loves it!
