I recently bought and assembled six of the 5 tier and six of the 2 tier shoe racks and I love them! I had estimates done for built in shoe shelves from contractors and the quotes were ridiculous expensive so I set out to fix the problem myself. I checked other brands on other sites as well as on Amazon and decided on the SONGMICS brand. The racks are easy to assemble I built mine on my kitchen island so I wouldn't have to bend over on the ground this greatly speed up the building process. The racks to me look great! The are sturdy enough if used as intended and not over loaded. I have each tier stacked with mens size 11 shoes and they support the weight no problem. I stacked the 2 tier on top of the 5 tier as well with no fear of it falling over or being flimsy. Three of the racks I built are being used for T-shirt and shorts storage which maybe a solution as well for others that need creative storage ideas. Somehow I managed to accidentally toss out four of the H connectors accidentally with all the packaging I placed in the recycle trash can so I contacted SONGMICS directly and Cathy replied quickly to my email and sent me six H connectors the next day. GREAT PRODUCT, GREAT VALUE and GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Save your money from a pro installing shoe or storage racks and go buy more shoes lol!

I have become a fan of Songmics stuff. I downsized to a smaller home recently and I have needed to rethink all my storage...or lack thereof. I bought this to conquer my closet and get the most of my space. I have a good sized walk-in closet and wanted to be sure I squeezed the maximum usage out of it to compensate for lack of storage elsewhere. That meant no more boots and shoes all over the place. I have never met a shoe rack I actually liked until now. This holds quite a few pairs of "average" shoes. i.e. running shoes, casual shoes, etc. The top shelf would work for boots, but I found that a little cumbersome. So I am using this for non-high profile footwear. I think it would hold about 12 pairs of my size 9 mens shoes. I don't have that many, so I can't prove it. I do have about 8 or so pairs on there with room to spare. The shoes are not jammed in there, either. It's quite spacious. It went together easily and is nice and sturdy. The ability to stack units is pretty cool. Instructions were clear and it was easy to assemble. It's light so it is easy to move around. All in all, a great purchase. Very happy with it.

These shelves are great for organizing a closet full of shoes / in my case a walk in closet! However just put them together slowly...and make sure you have all the parts the right way. They include a handy L-wrench, but my little cordless drill was helpful - I recommend. If all the shelves are installed it's very sturdy - but if you choose to just put in two or just one of them, then it's not so sturdy. Overall I'm very pleased as I hope you can see in the video. Sorry I didn't have a before video...just imagine all these shoes everywhere....omg. So for the organization of it I give it a 10. Ease of putting together a 8 and weight / sturdiness a 9. Its a good buy. It's nice that they include "attachers" to stack them if you'd like, as for me I didn't have the vertical space to stack them. No loss. I'm pleased. Just be sure to use the corded/cordless drill for putting in the screws to make assembly completely easy. :)

At around $34 this was more flimsy than I was expecting. The sides are hollow painted metal and the racks are very thin. This was one of the deepest ones I could find and it does actually hold my husband's size 14 shoes - can get 3 across each rack. My toddler assembled with the shelves slanted and I tightened up the bolts - very easy to put together. I have a great shoe rack I bought at least 10 years ago and it is much better - wooden sides, super sturdy metal grate shelves - I really feel like I got my money's worth. Unfortunately it wasn't big enough for husband's shoes and I couldn't locate it again. Overall this looks nice and does the job but I doubt it will last long. ~~Edit~~ The company is very responsive and contacted me regarding my comments. There was an implication that the stand may have been assembled incorrectly which would be logical from the description of "my toddler" building it. However, we read the manual before we started and rechecked our work when we finished (even building a shoe rack can be a lesson). It is possible the unit I got wasn't built to the same standards as others. I'm raising my review from 3 to 4 stars based on the company's dedication to making it right. Some improvements to give a better quality feel to the item: using a thicker mesh on shelves, welding the center support rod across the whole shelf (ours was only partially attached), and/or using a thicker metal on the support legs. The leveling feet are useful and should definitely be kept. Overall I still think this is an adequate shoe rack that looks nice.

This is an attractive rack and goes together easily until the last 2 screws where an extra pair of hands would help but not necessary-just takes a little finagling as it's a tight fit. But that tight fit adds stability so don't let that dissuade you. It's good quality and will last I'm sure. Also appreciated are the 2 H pegs to add another vertical rack in the future.

Good quality and sturdy and easy to assemble. Holds many shoes and boots. There was no need to secure it to the wall. You may want to if you have young children to ensure it doesn't tip over. Tip - when placing pairs of shoes on the rack, put one shoe where toe is front facing. The 2nd shoe put heel beside the toe of the 1st shoe. You'll find you can fit more shoes on the rack as seen in photo taken.

This shoe rack was easy to assemble and I would strongly recommend it.
