Q: Does it come with a dvd or link to a bob ross video on how to paint?

No this is the basic set, the master set came with a DVD. The master set is no longer offered by Bob Ross INC. However the DVD getting started (which was included with the master set) is available here on Amazon.

Q: Are these acrylic or oil paints?

They are oil! There is a base white in the set that is acrylic though.

Q: Does it come with a canvas or pallet?

No, just paints, brush,knife,paint and liquid white.

Q: How many paintings will the kit make? I was hoping to use it for a painting party.

We used a lot of paint for two canvas’. We probably could make one more painting with the paint that is left.
