Social Network Analysis

One of the best books to be adopted as a textbook for teaching a course on Social Network Analysis. Lot of examples, questions and links to research topics.

This book is hard to beat for a general introduction to network science and its applications in graphs. The topics are arranged very systematically, and the author breaks down the topics into reasonable sizes to prevent reader overload. The topic arrangement is geared for both undergraduate and graduate students as it builds the concepts from the very base and takes you to the highly advanced concepts with thorough mathematical proofs. The best strategy to get the most out of the book is to read it thoroughly and solve all the exercise problems of each section before moving to the next one. The book is also accompanied by many resources (Exercises, codes, papers, etc.), which further helps understand the theoretical and practical applications, making the overall learning process more effective and enjoyable.

Used this book as part of my course material for the course on Mining Large Networks, and still refer to the material anytime I need to refer to any topic. The book is well written and would recommend it to anyone interested in diving in this field. Kudos to Dr. Tanmoy Chakraborty for the book.

This book acts as a complete guide to your network analysis journey. It covers every major topic in extreme detail with references to various research papers. The best thing about the purchase is that the book comes with a plethora of online resources, facilitating further understanding of the concepts.

It was a treat reading this book. Plan English. Extremely easy to read. So many examples. For a novice reader, this is highly recommended. I particularly appreciate the author for such an amazing book.
