The throne of fire is the second book in the Kane Chronicles series.As a 12 year old boy I found this book very intriguing .In this book Sadie and Carter Kane have to stop Apophis - the giant snake of chaos from rising and plunging the earth into darkness forever.But to do this they have to raise the Sun God,Ra-a task that no magician has ever completed.They first have to find the three parts of the book of Ra that ancient priests have hidden for a reason.They might even save a precious ally along the way.If they don't accomplish it ,the world will end in 5 days time.This is an amazing book with twists,turns and incredible humour that is expected from Rick Riordan.An excellent book and I feel it deserves 5 stars. I have bought so many booked and this was the cheapest hardcover which I only got for 330 rupees. This books packaging was the best I've ever seen for a book. Can't wait to read it. Excited!

The book is okay but previous one was better as per my perspective. The ending could have been more exciting and entertaining. If i say about the condition of the book then it was quite good as expected from amazon.

These book set are very good

It's an amazing book and definitely worth a read. It's a mixture of delightful humour and myths and mythology. A magic spun into words by Rick Riordan. I recommend it to everyone who is interested in fantasy and fiction.

The story was excellent. A great mixture of Egyptian folklore and action excellently put into words. Unlike most books and movies the heroes failed to stop aphophis from rising. A must read but before beliving on thigs refer to the author's note.😍😍😍🤩🤩

Ich konnte es kaum erwarten, bis ich dieses Buch endlich beginnen konnte zu lesen und nachdem ich einmal angefangen hatte, fiel es mir schwer es aus den Händen zu legen. Die Ereignisse in Band 2 knüpfen natlos an den ersten Teil an. Wieder wird mit einer Einleitung begonnen, in der Rick Riordan sagt, dass er nur Tonbänder transkripiert hat, die ihm auf mysteriöse Weise zugeschickt wurden. Und dann geht es auch schon mit Carter weiter, der erzählt wie sie gerade in ein Museum einbrechen um eine Statue zu stehlen. Nichts einfacher als das... Auch in diesem Buch wechseln sich Carter und Saddie in ihren Erzählungen ab und obwohl die beiden auch hin und wieder getrennte Wege gehen, wird doch nichts doppelt erzählt oder unnötig wiederholt. Die Ereignisse werden kurz und prägnant dargestellt, ohne natürlich etwas an Spannung einbüsen zu müssen. Ganz so, wie es bei Herrn Riordan merkenswert üblich ist. Die Story beginnt rasant und geht auch genauso weiter. Es ist selten, dass der Leser oder die Protagonisten mal zum Luftholen kommen. Die neuen Charaktere sind geheimnisvoll und sympathisch. Es wird deutlich, dass jeder sein eigenes Päckchen zu tragen hat, deswegen aber noch lange nicht schwach ist oder bemitleidet werden will. Man bekommt zudem einen kleinen Crashkurs in ägyptischer Mytholigie, der ja mit dem ersten Band bereits begonnen hat. Hier wird lernt man also neue Götter kennen, von denen jeder seine eigenen Maken und Liebenswürdigkeiten hat. Natürlich darf auch Anubis nicht fehlen, zudem sich Saddie immer noch hingezogen fühlt und der sich aber etwas seltsam verhält. Und dann ist da auch noch Walt... der neue Mitbewohner. Auch Carter hat es in der Liebe nicht leicht. Ein weiterer Punkt, der mich so fasziniert: Spannung und Abenteuer vermischen, mit einem Schuss Romantik, ohne das eines davon zu überwiegen scheint. Es ist perfekt ausgeglichen und das macht die Bücher von Rick Riordan so besonders. Auch hier kann ich nur empfehlen es zu lesen. Wer Percy Jackson mag, wird auch hiervor begeistert sein. PS: Das Englisch ist gut verständlich und recht leicht zu lesen.

Muy en el estilo de la 'Pirámide Roja' (primera entrega de la serie), te mantiene continuamente en vilo y no deja de sorprender. Un libro muy entretenido y con el que pasas un buen rato!

My son picked up The Throne of Fire right after finishing The Red Pyramid, and this sequel pulled him in immediately. Rick Riordan has a way of blending mythology with fast-paced adventure that keeps teens turning pages late into the night. The mix of humor, sibling banter, and nonstop action makes it both exciting and relatable. As a parent, I love that Riordan’s books sneak in history and mythology while still feeling modern and fun. My 14 year old enjoys the balance of magic, danger, and comedy, and he’s already asking for the next book in the series. If your kids liked Percy Jackson, this series is a must-read.
