I absolutely love this product, this is my second time buying it. Yes it has an odor like passing gas but other than that I will literally swear by it as it does exactly what it says. Overall it helps to maintain your tank offering your fish a balanced and more healthier living space. It’s great value for your money and for the future I think I’ll get the larger one for $68 because I’ve bought it twice for $16 so you’ll be before off with value buying the bigger one but again it’s highly recommended and the effectiveness of what it offers is great and it’s very easy to use just follow the very simple instructions

Hello all. I have a planted 55 gallon aquarium with 9 neon tetras, 7 red common tetra,4 pigmy gouramis,6 zebra danios,1 bristle nose pleco,2 nerite snails, and 5 amano shrimp. This tank was set up 2 years ago and established. I decided to use microbe lift as a maintenance when i top off any evaporated water. If you are using uv lights, please turn it off for 12 to 24 hours before first application. I observed visually what was happening about 4 hours later and i noticed very small debris floating in the water column. This product starts working right away. 12 hours later and everything looks good. Clear water, fish are active and all is well. I am planning to attempt to set up a 10 gallon aquarium using the walstad method. I will use microbe lift on this next project. Will update with results when i can. P.s. microbe lift smells like rotten sewage. I suggest to get your dose set up outside, cover cap , go inside quickly amd dump it in aquarium. The smell dissipates quickly. Once in water no more smell. Please try not to spill any indoors. Update 9/25/24. This liquid is great. Water is crystal clear. It even got rid of black hair algae. I add 30 ml once a month. No water changes at all since I started using this product, just a top off due to evaporation. I rn a fluval 407 canister filter, I serviced it 2 weeks ago, and I was surprised at how clean the foam pads were, no build up whatsoever.

First off I do not exaggerate when I say this stuff smells like an open sewer pipe burst after the last person wrecked the toilet post enchilada night, but if you're looking to cycle a new fish tank and fast this stuff is amazing. It may stink, but that translates to there being a high concentration of nitrifying bacteria that will quickly set up in your aquarium that is crucial to keeping your fish happy and healthy. I've kept tanks for over a decade and while I may not be the wisest fish keeper, I have been around the block quite a few times and spent a lot of time and money on everything under the sun when it comes to water treatment options. I combined this with their Nite-Out product and while it didn't cycle the tank within 24 hours I can say that a beneficial bacterial bloom is thriving after a week which at this stage is typically something has taken 2-3 weeks to achieve even with leveraging plenty of known tricks of the trade. Fair warning though, even after dosing there is going to be a strong residual odor for a few hours. If you're expecting guests I recommend holding off until they're gone or you're going to have a really off beat conversation starter. Performance wise though I've found none better.

I had almost completely removed all my dirty sand and old live rock from my 60 gallon tank and replaced with new sand and cleaned live rock while still keeping the present 7 saltwater fish and invertebrates in my tank. 2 months now after going through a period of hair algae the live rock is getting cleaner. Have not experienced ammonia or nitrite and my fish and invertebrates are OK. My Nitrate levels are high and phos level is about .50 but all critters are tolerating. I am in the once every two weeks maintenance .My Tank is now very clear, no algae. 4 months now. Added caution to this my 2nd bottle I purchased did not come in a box which contains the instructions for use, so if this is the case with you return it for one that is in the box. It is useless unless you have the instructions for use. I suspect that the item I received was maybe a return without a box. Not good Amazon.

I’ve been using this along with Nite out II weekly and it has kept my water crystal clear. The smell is diabolical so beware. I pour it in the cup outside and let it air off before bringing into the house. It literally makes me gag if I smell it. Thank you to the other reviewers that recommended gassing it off outdoors first. Trust me you don’t want this smell indoors. My tank is so fresh ironically using these two products. No fishy or musty tank water smell.

I will always swear by this product for my fish tanks. I extend the cleaning period of my tanks and helps my live plants and the fish. Water is always way clearer with constant use, quality of life is better for the fish and for the most part, pretty easy to use unless you have tank sizes not mentioned and then you have to do some math on it. Great product and I will never stop using this for my fish tanks.

5 stars! Dosed this morning in my reef tank and my tank is half as cloudy as it was yesterday due to an incidental bacteria bloom. Will keep up with the maintenance dose every 2 weeks and provide an updated review. However, it literally smells like a dog pooped on the floor, right beside your tank lol. The smell seems to travel through the house too. Recommended to use an air purifier and open a window lol. Edit 2025.11.1 From morning until night, this stuff cleared my tank of an bacteria bloom. For two weeks, my tank has been cloudy. This stuff cleared my tank to crystal clear water. Not sure of the long term effect, but I'm satisfied so far Edit 2026.03.14 This stuff works really well. Using it along with a UV sweeper to rid myself of LCA dinos. Does an awesome job at maintaining clear water.

Stinkt wie die größte Jauche Grube überhaupt aber hat mir wirklich beim Einlaufen meines Meerwasserbeckens geholfen, sehr bald nach der ersten Impfung haben sie die Wasserwerte stabilisiert und der Algenwachstum ist zurückgegangen, den Rest haben meine fleißigen Krebse und manuelles ernten mit dem Kescher aus dem Bodengrund erledigt. Benutze es aktuell noch immer einmal die Woche !!!
