Great paint for metal
Paint is quite thin so spreads quite far and covers well. Happily goes straight onto metal and even (cleaned up) rust. Tried it on plastic and that worked too. The second coat really sets it off and it dries to a nice even satin finish without brush marks. Beware this paint dries really fast - in just a few minutes - so its possible to re-coat in a few hours only. The paint seems to cure (if thats the right word for setting to a tougher finish) in about a day. Only used recently so can't comment on long term durability. Best of all, the brush can be cleaned in water.

Very good indeed
Really pleased with this, was looking at the Wickes version, Hammerite etc, but went with Rustin's out of old school trust and reputation; it's very good indeed, goes on well, nice satin lustre, slightly teal tinge, did 4 metal garden chairs with half a tin and they look great. Pics attached

A valid alternative to hammerite.
It went a lot further than I thought. I managed to paint two garden chairs, a bench and a table.. oh, and a parasol stand.Downside is it runs.. beware.Water soluble, so no messing about with turps.

Easy to apply in thin coats, does the job.
Used this to paint some bare copper pipes in the bathroom (after preparing them first with a little sanding and white spirit). Took between four and five coats thinly applied but each coat dries in about two hours, as stated. Brush cleaned with water. Good finish, easy job.

Great Paint , Great results !
Wonderful paint works like a dream . Lovely and smooth like cream . Dried quickly too and my brush washed so easily too . If this helps as a guide on this purchased tin it was enough to paint the table and two chairs . Going back for another tin to paint our old Raleigh tricycle .

Mediocre paint lets down established brand
I really wanted to rate this higher, but there were too many things not quite right, which I was shocked by given the Rustins brand.Firstly, when you advertise a paint as green, and have a green "colour" sample on the front of it, the paint should be green, not a blue/green.Secondly, and perhaps this is due to the "quick dry" formula, but if you try to be light handed with the paint so as to avoid blobs/runs, the paint contracts and leaves unpainted areas. If you are a little heavier with the paint to counteract this, the paint has a tendency to blob, which then cracks and looks poor. All together not easy to apply.Lastly, even after taking the time to prepare the metal correctly, I still ended up with a weird yellow dotting on the first coat, meaning between that and the poor finish I had to put a thick second coat on leading to a loss of detail on the painted item.Initially, the paint seemed good value for money with the size of the tin, but with all the issues above I would just buy the more expensive competitors paint next time.

easy application, quick drying time, and high-quality finish makes it a product I would recommend
The paint goes on smoothly and evenly, with excellent coverage. I found that one coat was often sufficient for solid color coverage, but a second coat definitely enhanced the finish and durability. The quick-drying formula is a standout feature; I was able to handle and apply subsequent coats in a minimal amount of time, which made the entire process much more efficient.
