Patio Magic Patio Cleaner 2.5L Refill

Wish I'd taken before and after pictures! This did a great job. My patio area was really discoloured after the winter period with slippery green areas. Followed the instructions and poured this all over. I didn't use a hard bristle brush to work it in even though it says this is not nessasary. If it doesn't look like it's doing much after a day or so don't worry as it keeps working as the days go on. Our patio came up looking like new!

I have a 12 sq metre, Indian Sandstone patio and have used Patio Magic on it about ten times or so over the last 3 years. It has never failed to clear the algae, except once, when it rained unexpectedly a few hours after I had covered the patio. By using the recommended 1-4 concentration ratio, I get three watering cans out of one 2.5 litre container. I use these three watering cans as one application for my 12 sq metre patio, (so one 2.5 litre container does me for ONE generous covering). If it has not rained for two days before and it is not going to rain two days after you put the PM onto the patio, there is not a problem. You simply pour the solution onto the patio and that is it. It does work when wet but I have found that it does seem to work better when it is dry. It also shifts stains left by the removal of patio pots and on my red brickwork which has plants hanging over it. If Patio Magic has not cleared any algae you might have within two days, try again with a stronger concentration. Stained brickwork or moss will take a bit longer. By way of comparison, I have also used Jeyes Fluid which says it cleans patios. You use the same 1-4 concentration as Patio Magic. You have to rinse your patio, apply the solution, take a hard brush and go over it, wait for 10 minutes, then rinse the patio again. I did this 3 times using progressively stronger concentrations and putting more effort in with the hard brush. But it did not shift even the easiest algae stains which Patio Magic generally clears in a day or two. Two quick warnings. I used my watering can to apply PM onto the patio but forgot to wash it out. The next day, I used the same watering can to water the geraniums and I killed them all, so it is worth washing the watering can after each application. When you cover your patio with PM, please think of our gorgeous garden birds who will think the puddles are water. Birds drinking any patio cleaning solution will suffer a painful death, so please could I ask you to be careful on behalf of our bird population which suffers so much anyway. I cover my patio after the birds have gone to bed.

Patio Magic! 16491 Concentrate is fantastic for keeping patios, paths, and driveways clean. Very effective and easy to use, it made a noticeable difference in no time. I’m so happy with the results that I will definitely be buying again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable outdoor cleaner!

As per title!! I used to spend an entire afternoon jet washing our drive and back garden area which is a mix of paving and Indian stone. The results were only ever ok using snow foam and needed repeating at least 3 times per year. Enter Patio Magic. Now, I buy 12.5 litres (2 large bottles and 1 small) once per year. Dilute in a watering can with a rose sprinkler head. You can dilute differently for different areas depending on how dirty/green it is. Simply sprinkle over the areas and leave. At first it goes a weird brown colour and you don’t notice any difference for at least nearly a week. But after that, gosh it’s like a new house! To apply this way takes me under 20 mins for the entire area which as I said previously took half a day with a jet wash. It does need repeating once per year but if you got someone in to jet wash I reckon it’d cost more even as a one off (which would probably need doing multiple times per year so cost more overall). The time saving, result and ease of application make this a must have. I also like how it kills moss growing between paving slabs that may have moved over time, thus eliminating more work to take that out.

Cleaned the patio well but needed to go over it with a jet wash afterwards to lift off more stubborn algae
