Insta360 Mic Air Transmitter

Firstly , I was going to review my original "kit" as 5/5 ! Then I went out with the mic around my neck under a jacket , 2 hour walk ! GONE , NO MIC , traced my route checking Bluetooth! Checked everywhere , GONE ! only used a few times and I am left with whole kit ! Meh my fault was still 5/5. Purchased this mic only (no phone usb-c thingy). 2 weeks later , 1/1/26 , putting washing on metal dryer thing .... What's stuck under the rack , STILL WORKING ! (no idea! But it's probably been through washing machine !!! ) Anyway 2 hours later I noticed the insta360 was flashing ???? It had activated recording ! If that's not a 5/5 review , buy a cheeper one , I have 2 and if I loose em both I will get another X sound quality is excellent 👌

Another great insta360 product, with a lot of faults. The charger uses an old school usb a, non of my other insta products do. The windmuff is on a silicon ring that goes round the body of the mic. This can be pushed away from the mic when using the attachment clip, rendering it useless. The fury part of the windmuff can also easily become detached from the silicon ring. Insta do not sell spares for the mic so if you lose anything you have to buy a new mic. You can turn the camera off using the mic, but you can’t turn the mic off using the camera. If you turn the camera off the mic stays on for 3 minutes then shuts down. Meaning you have to turn the mic back on manually, no use if you’re moto volging.

You can only pick the transmitter or both: No option to use just the camera mic with the transmitter as a remote, would’ve been nice. For dual mic use the software doesn’t mix the inputs well, as a result you get this echoey sound unless the camera and mic are far enough. Bearing these limitations the mic works well with room for improvement.
