MusicCast SUB 100 Subwoofer - Black

Not cheap but worth it for the quality of the sound and it looks good too!

Purchased to work with my Yamaha Bar 40 sound bar which I was sorely disappointed with because of the non-existent bass. I was probably expecting too much because it had replaced a sound base with woofers built-in, but I liked the rest of the sound so I bit the bullet and ordered the Sub 100. What a transformation! The sound shifts to another level and now I have what I was hoping for initially, with the bar providing a good surround effect and detail, but there's a robust warmth and power to the bass from the sub. The sub works well with the Yamaha MusicCast app and was plugged-in and synced with my sound bar pithing around 10 mins. It's quite a large unit, but it looks quite classy in gloss black. I know have great sounding sound in my lounge, and it works great with my other Yamaha kit in the house via MusicCast multi-room. Long and short, if you don't have a sub with your Yamaha TV audio, this is not a nice-to-have, it will transform your sound. Ordered at a great price via Yamaha Music London and despite not being Prime delivery, it was actually delivered 2 days quicker than Amazon quoted. Very pleased all round.

No phono socket to connect to amp just a jack socket and having to find a female phono to jack cable (nightmare)

Exceptional product. Rather large and suggests great volume but this unit is designed to accompany Musiccast speakers and help them with musical bass, not ground thumping movie bass. Unless mine was faulty. Easy to setup on Musiccast app

Disappointed from Yamaha it's a joke lost signal on 4 m from router have to buy extender to keep it wireless 20£ extender keep stable connection than totally joke !!!

Easy to install and great sound.

Sumptuous bass

Took a bit of time to set up but a great sub, does it’s job well.
