These lights are cool! They are super easy to install and set up. I do not have an external video source to connect so we don’t do the “live” change of color but these lights have a lot more to offer! They are so many colors to choose from, you can dim them, make them flicker (candlelight), and you can even set a schedule for when they come on and off! Mine turns on at sunset and turns off at 10:30pm. It’s a simple feature but how neat! You can also connect your music (from your phone) to it and get the light to react and change based on that music (TV off, lights react to your music). Overall, a nice add on to our TV! I’ll definitely recommend it!

Setting up the light strip was surprisingly easy, It took me about 20-30 minutes with my partner. While I initially was worried about needing to lay down my TV, However i could complete the setup without moving my TV. I would say setting up the light strip is definitely a two person job. Software setup was even simpler, it took me 1-2 minutes by following the in-app instructions. A minor issue that i faced with Apple TV 4K was that enabling Dolby Vision resulted in a black screen. To resolve this, I had to select 4K SDR and then activate "Match Frame Rate" and "Dynamic Range" in the Apple TV settings. Performance and Accuracy wise i am genuinely impressed with the performance and color matching accuracy of this system. It significantly elevates my movie night viewing experience. The inclusion of black bar detection makes sure that color matching detection worked when there are black bars on the top of any content. IMHO, For casual TV watchers and movie enthusiasts new to ambient lighting, this product is a no-brainer, especially considering its price point. Pros: 1) Excellent value, particularly with the light strip included. 2) Real-time HDMI signal syncing with minimal lag. 3) No camera or complex calibration required. 4) Works seamlessly with WiZ smart lighting and Matter. 5) Supports black bar detection for better coloar matching accuracy. Cons: 1) Only one HDMI input is available, requiring a separate HDMI switcher for multiple devices. 2) 3-Sided Lighting: The light strip covers three sides (top and sides), not all four. This simplifies installation considerably but this lacks bottom illumination. 3) Restricted to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. 4) No HDMI 2.1 Support: this can be a limitation serious gamers who need higher refresh rates and resolutions. For my Apple TV 4K streaming (since most OTT content is 4K 60 Hz), hence its not a deal-breaker for me. However, HDMI 2.1 QMS (Quick Media Switching) on my Apple TV does not work, So i see delayed black screens during app transitions. I am assuming Wiz will continue improving this even futhur with software. I will appreciate an option to automate the light strip's operation only during nighttime hours. Currently, the in-app automation automatically activates the light strip whenever the TV turns on, even during the day. I recently installed the WiZ Connected HDMI Sync Box with TV Backlight on my 75-inch TV, and it’s been a fantastic upgrade to my entertainment setup. The installation was simple and straightforward - just plug in the HDMI source, attach the LED strip to the back of the TV, and you’re good to go. The strip had no problem covering the larger screen size, and the adhesive held firmly in place. The lighting effects are what make this product special. Action scenes feel more dramatic, and gaming has an added layer of excitement with the lights reacting instantly to what’s happening on screen. Even listening to music feels more fun with the lights pulsing to the beat. It’s worth noting that it requires an external video source, so make sure your setup can support that. The HDMI 2.0 connection handles 4K at 60Hz perfectly, and I haven’t noticed any lag or quality loss. I ended up giving this a one-star rating, but it’s not because the WiZ HDMI Sync Box and backlight perform poorly. The product itself is fantastic once you actually get the correct size. My issue was with the repeated shipping mistakes. Amazon sent me the wrong size four separate times for my TV, which turned the whole process into a headache. Each time I tried to reorder, the same incorrect version showed up again. After the fourth attempt, I finally gave up. I ended up buying the correct size from Walmart instead, and that experience was completely different. The one from Walmart arrived exactly as advertised, and once I had the right size installed, the sync box worked perfectly. The lighting effects are smooth, the colors match the screen beautifully, and the whole setup reacts instantly to movies, games, and music. The 4K 60Hz support works as expected, and the immersion is a huge upgrade over standard LED strips. So the product itself deserves five stars. The performance is excellent, the backlight looks incredible behind a large TV, and the RGBIC strip adds a lot of depth to whatever you’re watching. But the ordering experience through Amazon was so consistently wrong that I had no choice but to rate the purchase one star. If you can get the correct size, the device is fantastic—you just might want to order it somewhere more reliable.

The WiZ HDMI Sync Box with TV Backlight does a surprisingly good job of creating an immersive environment for watching movies or playing video games. Installation of the LED strip was simple (the light strip itself has 3M adhesive on one side) and there are additional 3M caps to ensure strong, long-lasting application. The TV we installed on is actually 50 inch, not 55-65, but we were able to "fold" the corners slightly and as you can see in the photo/video, the colors still pop on the wall behind the TV matching the video on display. A few comments: If you have other "WiZ" devices, you may need to upgrade to the WiZ V2 app. I'm not sure why the features couldn't be built into the existing app... but after a few tries I was able to "transfer" the old device/settings into the new app. The HDMI Sync Box is required to enable "synchronized" colors with the video display which is a little bit disappointing as most TVs today already have native apps, so if you want to take FULL advantage of this feature you need to make sure you're using an external device. In our case, we're using an Xbox Series X. The colors are bright and transitions seamless. Out of the box the default is "Cinematic" sync, which seems to be more gentle transitions. Other settings include: Vibrant (much "jumpier"), Resolution and Rhythmic. Our preference is for Cinematic. All in all... when it works, it works great. But I have noticed occasional "glitching" from the input video, but it doesn't seem to be problematic with EVERY video. My son plays a lot of Fortnite and for some reason that game in particular tends to have more issues (video turning on and off quickly) but the example video for Crossy Road seemed to work just fine. It may just be a bad HDMI cable included so I'll try and replace that to see if there is any improvement. Overall... this is a fun product and I would recommend.

The Google Home integration is fantastic - I love being able to adjust the colors manually when I don't want the sync feature active, giving me full control over my lighting setup. What really impressed me was how much more immersive it makes everything, especially gaming - when I was playing Fallout, the synchronized lighting made me feel genuinely more connected to the game world than ever before. The sync feature truly shines with movies and shows that have excellent cinematography, as it pulls you right into each scene with perfectly matched ambient lighting. The real-time color matching is accurate and responsive, creating a cinematic atmosphere in my living room. Whether I'm gaming, watching movies, or binge-watching shows, this device has elevated my entire entertainment setup and made every viewing experience more engaging.

Received this the next day that i ordered it on. Installed and tested it on the same day and here are my findings: Pros- 1) Once physically installed, it was extremely easy to setup via the app 2) The background lighting really matches up with the picture on the screen without any issues 3) The ambiance really does get a pop of color with this backlighting solution (my last 2 photos shows a sample with my TV on) 4) The app is very intuitive and you can easily change between the various options from Cinematic, Gaming, Music, etc. There are also a lot of prebuilt mood setups if you are looking for templates. Cons- 1) Installing it is a little tricky and i would recommend doing this with a friend to ensure that you have planned the position you want the LED strips to be in before you begin sticking it to your TV 2) Will be very difficult to mount on TVs that are wall mounted. If you do not have enough clearance, this might not be for you Note to people with multiple HDMI inputs to your TV - The sync box only has one input position so if you have multiple devices connected to your TV, you will need a separate HDMI switcher to select the HDMI input you want synced with the backlighting. Overall, i would definitely recommend this sync box and in the future, i will consider the additional lights to give it some more effect. It is a much simpler and economical alternative to the Philips Hue lighting system.

Background: I love watching movies and TV in my home theater and wanted to up my home theater game. TLDR: The backlight worked really well and created a really cool look in my home theater. Setup: The setup was very simple. I mounted the lights, mounted the box, plugged the lights into the box, plugged the box into the TV, plugged the source (my XBox Series X) into the box, and plugged the box into power. Then I downloaded the app and went through the setup. Design: The lights felt sturdy and not flimsy like some other light strips I've used in the past. The sync box was small and discreet. Lighting: The lights were bright enough to be seen during the day and the color options were plenty. I wish the lights would have been a little bit brighter to overcome some of the brighter scenes during my movies/shows. Otherwise, I really like the customization they offer. Overall: These lights add that extra something to movie night and I really love the ambience they create. They go well with the other lighting in my home theater to ensure everything matches well. I didn't quite know what to expect with these sync lights but I was pleasantly surprised by how much more enjoyable they made the TV experience.
