Good guality and reasonable price
There is a lot to like about this stethoscope. It is stylish and strong. You can hear the sounds clearly and the price is reasonable. It is heavy, giving the impression that the materials used are genuine and first class.

Nothing better
3M Littmann is the best ever stethoscopes I have ever used since I was a medical student in the early 90s. Not comparable to any other product in durability and sound transmission quality. It was a present to my cardiology consultant sister in her birthday and she could not be any happier.. No promise to buy it again because mine is still brilliant for the last 25 years unless the factory decides to send me a complimentary replacement 😉

Heavy but great sound
I work in a veterinary hospital and do anaesthetics so need a really good stethoscope wouldn’t buy any other than this brand. The cardiology one is a lot heavier than the standard type of stuff stuff that I’ve been using put the sound quality is so much better definitely would recommend specially as I have tinnitus and struggle to hear through my stethoscope when there’s a lot of sound in the background which in a veterinary hospital is a lot Only negative review is packaging on how it was delivered box wasn’t sealed and it just came in the box the stuff that comes in which thankfully is packaged with form but when I got delivered was thrown into my delivery box at home with the lid off and hanging out

Can’t beat a Littmann
Bought this after my old Classic II “disappeared”. Cannot beat the sound clarity and quality of these stethoscopes. Yes, they’re a bit pricey, but they last and you get what you pay for. If you’re just taking manual BP’s don’t bother, but if you are listening to chests, hearts abdomens etc, they do t disappoint. Just make sure to read the instructions as these have tuneable diaphragms and can take a bit of getting used to.

The classic II SE was great but this is a definite step up
Purchased this to replace my old trusty Littmann Classic II SE that I have used for the past six years. The classic II SE was great but this is a definite step up. The acoustics are fantastic and allow for easy listening even in those towards the more rotund end of the body habitus spectrum. I find the smaller diaphragm on the opposite side excellent for use in smaller paediatric patients and the sound quality is just as clear as the larger adult side. If you're after a substantial upgrade and want to keep things simple, I would definitely recommend this stethoscope. Some people have mentioned the weight associated with this stethoscope - in the hand it doesn't feel that much more heavier than the lighter classic II and when it is round the neck, the additional weight is barely noticeable.

Würde ich mir jederzeit wieder kaufen. Das Classic III kommt zwar einigermaßen ran, aber man hört Geräusche noch viel besser! Hätte ich nicht gedacht, habe jetzt beide für unterschiedliche Zwecke.

I love this stethoscope! I researched stethoscopes in great detail until I made a purchase, as this is not a cheap buy and not one I want to replace any time soon. I chose the pediatric bell instead of the master, because I have small children and it is proving itself very useful. The sound coming from this is amazing. I am not a medical professional, but am learning how to use medical instruments for home use. My Midwife has the Littmann Classic II and loved it, when it was new, and I have had the privilege of using it and hearing through it. This Cardiology IV blows it out of the water. The sound and clarity is astounding, I can hear everything. I'm really enjoying learning the sounds of the internal body, as are my children. I'm not a professional, and I haven't tried a bunch of different stethoscopes, but I would totally recommend that anyone at least try this. My only con is the tightness of the ear pieces. I know the insteuctions say to pull them open wide to loosen thrm, but this really hasn't worked, as they are still quite tight. I see other brands of stethoscopes that have a better adjustable piece forwhere the tubing ataches to the ear pieces (not sure what those metal pieces are called). Also, the instructions could be more clear in explaining how only one side of the bell works at a time and to hear each side, you need to rotate the bell piece on the stem.
