Great roof top carrier for cars without top rails. Secures easily to the door frame. Proven to be waterproof since all stored items remained dry despite traveling through rain and snow. Large holding capacity that worked perfectly for a mid-sized sedan. Zipper can be secured with a small lock. It comes with a storage case too. Well worth the $$.

This was the MVP of a recent cross country road trip (New Mexico to Ohio and back) I took with my mother, a toddler and three dogs. We loaded up all our bags with our clothes in this rooftop cargo bag and frankly it was the only way we were able to take everything we took with us. It installed easily. We experienced snow, rain and absolutely frigid temperatures and the bag held up great. Our belongings arrived to our destination dry. While driving we did notice some noise when we’d go above 80mph. The straps slap and flail like crazy so I did have to buy some Velcro covers separately for the return trip. And surprisingly I was able to fold it up and fit it in the included storage bag after our trip was done! Overall I’m very happy with this purchase and will use again on future road trips!

This carrier is very well built and held up great during long road trips. The material feels thick, waterproof, and durable, and it handled extended highway travel without issues. The only downside is capacity, it didn’t hold as much as I expected based on the listing. That said, for lighter or more compact packing, it performs reliably and secures well to the roof. I was making a move and needed the extra space so I could do it in one trip (5-hour freeway drive), and this bag was amazing!!! I almost bought one of the hard-shell roof-top carriers, but those are limited if you have bulky items. I was able to fit three suitcases, small, medium, and large, plus one of those black storage bins with the yellow lids, plus my portable room heater, plus several small boxes in the bag with room to spare. It rained on the drive, but everything was completely dry. You can see in the photo that I had additional straps, but I was being paranoid and actually didn't need them but it was more for peace of mind. The best part is that where I moved to, I have limited space, so the bag folds up really small for easy storage. It exceeded my expectations. Oh yeah, here's a tip: I also laid the bag out in my living room first and played with the suitcases and storage boxes, etc, while they were empty so I could plan what configuration would fit best. Like playing Tetris. It would have been too difficult and heavy to try and do this with the suitcases, etc filled while putting them on the roof of my SUV. I was able to maximize the space/placement and then load it on my roof. systematically.

This was a great buy. It is easy ro handle and spacious. We went through heavy rain and our belongings were completely dry.

We used this Sailnovo soft rooftop cargo carrier for a 28-hour road trip from Texas to Maryland in November. We drove at 60–70–80 mph, and it stayed very secure without moving at all. We also drove through rain, and everything inside stayed completely dry. Easy to install, durable, and reliable. Highly recommend!

I recently purchased this rooftop cargo carrier, in preparation for a 1,000 mile trip to Florida. It arrived in good condition, and it didn't take long to figure out the directions and strap it to the top of my car (I also bought a rubberized mat to place between the carrier and my rooftop, to protect the paint from scratches). The carrier is quite roomy, I think it fit something like 7 suitcases of varying sizes. And when strapped down tightly, it didn't produce much wind noise either (it took a little trial and error to figure out where/how to tuck some of the straps so they didn't blow in the wind and smack the roof of the car. My primary complaint concerns the front of the carrier, and how it closes. The zipper runs from one back corner up the side, across the front, then down the other side to the opposite back corner. And there's a flap that covers the zipper, with velcro to keep the flap down and the zipper protected from the elements. But the front center of the flap lacks velcro, so the wind stream coming off the top of the car lifts the flap there, and exposes the zipper. That became an issue when we drove through a heavy downpour of rain outside Daytona Beach, as the exposed zipper couldn't stop the large volume of rain from penetrating into the carrier bag itself. I wouldn't go so far as to say the bags inside were soaked, but they were certainly damp. If the makers of this product would place a velcro closure, or better yet a cinch-down strap, in the front center of this carrier, I suspect that would fix the leak issue and make it a great product.

Very happy with this product and it definitely held quite a bit of our gear. It rained in excess of 4 hours one way and 2 hours back, with no evidence of leakage whatsoever. As it was hard to visualize during the initial product comparison, I'm glad I purchased the 20ft² carrier instead of the 15ft² (Go bigger.. always!) These units will definitely fit the roof of a Mini as well.. not that we used it on this rental.. just a good-to-know observation. Regardless of the fact we used a rental vehicle, a protective non-slip mat for the roof, under the unit is highly suggested.. as a just-in-case scenario. The zipper system and velcro flap that covers it seem solid. I did find it tricky to start either side's zippers when closing. So I'd highly recommend not to fully open zippers and stop about 8 inches before reaching the "fully" unzipped position. Following this advice will not impede storage in the least. I do have to mention that you will have to get creative with the included bag for the carrier, as after the initial unpacking.. you will NEVER get it folded as skillfully back in. As a side note, in the provided instruction manual, you are told that you should not put live pets into the carrier. Sage advice indeed. I'd also suggest that it is unsuitable for unalive pets as well.

This rooftop cargo carrier exceeded our expectations! We used it for a long road trip with our family of 10, and it fit everything we needed with room to spare. Completely waterproof—everything stayed dry through heavy rain—and the belts held it securely in place for hundreds of miles. Easy to install and remove, and we even got a few compliments at rest stops. Highly recommend for large families or anyone needing serious extra space on the road!

I have a small car, and love camping. This thing holds our large tent, a screenroom, two camping chairs, sleeping bags, bedding, and our clothing, which frees up a ton of space in car!
