EuroGraphics Irises by Vincent Van Gogh Puzzle (1000-Piece) (6000-4364)

As many have mentioned, this puzzle is super difficult. The oddly shaped pieces were cut by a sadist and many did not interlock. That being said, this puzzle is perfect for expert puzzlers who need a challenge. This is my 6th 1000-piecer and was able to finish in four days! The end product is beautiful, and I can’t wait to hang it up on my wall. I would not recommend for beginners and/or those with low patience.

This puzzle is HARD! But that is okay. The only complaint is that it's very hard to tell which pieces are edge pieces. Some are VERY subtly curved. On the plus side, I never realized how much the difficulty factor would rise with an impressionist painting as a subject. The little daubs make matching a piece by color and pattern vey difficult. That is the kind of challenge one expects from a jigsaw puzzle. It took three adults six hours just to complete the outside edges. Lots of fun!

This puzzle is not for the easily frustrated or faint of heart. Unless you are a real whizz, I think you will find it takes a long time--so have a safe place you can assemble it over a period of time. The picture however, is very nice and you will have a real sense of accomplishment once done.

Very dark, the individual pieces are not pretty, overall effect chaotic and ugly.

What makes this puzzle the hardest I have every done (even harder than the Chuck Close self portrait, which is highly recommended) is the color repetition. I suggest forming the border first otherwise you won't have a clue what you're doing. The only other points of clear reference are in the picture I attached. I'm down to placing maybe 3 or 4 pieces at a time and it's going to take weeks, but it makes this puzzle great value for money. Not for the faint of heart! BTW there are a couple of very odd shaped piece in the right hand border, hard to find.

We will never buy a puzzle by Eurographics AGAIN! The pieces are cut very similarly, very boring, very tedious and difficult. They didn't include a full photograph so part of the puzzle was hidden by their logo. This was the worst puzzle we've ever completed and nearly threw it in the trash.

This was a fun puzzle to work on and more challenging than others. There were no pieces missing. The image and board quality is very good. This puzzle is grid-cut and while I prefer random-cut, this was still an excellent purchase.

I wasn't sure what smart cut meant, whether it was all pieces, some pieces. This is all pieces are different cut. The recipient of this gift loves jigsaws and I buy one every year for Christmas, as a present. Particularly the fine art ones. The recipient has talked about it twice since Christmas, (only a week ago!) she thought she had sorted edge pieces out and then realised they were not just edges, so an extra challenge, which she is enjoying.

Veramente bello, la qualità è veramente alta, i pezzi non sono come i classici puzzle, ma è stato divertente anche per questo. Consigliatissimo!!!!
