This multi-handset digital phone/answering machine easily out performs it's predessor. We really appreciate the automatic call screening, which eliminates unwanted and unsolicited spam calls. Great design and features. We couldn't be happier!

I would like to give this phone a "3+" star rating if I could. The phone itself has many nice features included but it also has some "issues" you will have to deal with. It is easy to set up and looks good on a desk in an office. Be aware that the manual that comes with it IS NOT complete. It does not offer all the information you need about the phone. If you want the REAL instruction/set-up manual go to the Panasonic help site and they will give you a free extensive instruction manual. This is the complete manual that really is helpful. The screens are bright and easy to see as well as the numbers. The buttons all "work" well with soft touch features. One BIG PROBLEM is that the phone WILL ring out of sequence with your other phones you have in your home. I did ALL of the troubleshooting offered by Panasonic to no avail to correct this problem. Also, I contacted my telephone service provider and they told me that some phones like these have this issue and really nothing could be done to correct it (the phone company did check all my service and lines and found everything in working order on their "end"). The speaker on the base unit works well but voices sound sort on "tin-like" and there is no way to adjust the tone of the speaker; so this is another issue you might just have to live with. I did call friends and ask them how I sounded from my end and they all told me I sounded fine. If you can "live with" the out of sequence ringing this phone should work well for you. I decided to keep the phone because of the other features and because I have purchased Panasonic phones for many years and they overall work quite well.

I had fiber internet installed in my house because I am disabled and am home 99 44/100% of the time. It's fast and reliable but what took me a year to discover what that I was paying for a landline as well. Since I have brain issues and can't always locate my mobile phone I thought that keeping the landline was a good idea. This phone has great sound and is very rugged. My doggos have knocked the bases off of the tables a few times but nothing has ever broken. Great sound even when using the speaker phone function. Lots and lots of features packed into this package. The only problem I had was that the included rechargeable batteries weren't so I had to replace them. Other than that the purchase was exactly what I needed.

This review is for a Panasonic: KX-TGF944B My old Panasonic phone was becoming just that-- and old Panasonic phone, so after ten years of using the old phone, I started looking for a replacement phone. I had expected to see phones that would read my contact list from my cell, link to my cell for calling, etc., but, nope... I was getting tired of the spam callers, so this phone looked interesting, as it appeared to offer options for removing, and identifying callers before telephone pickup, based on caller ID. Pros: Looks like it will deal with spammers quickly. Nice range. Much like all other Panasonic phones. Battery life is good. Charger base is small and fits on desk well, while holding the phone securely. Base unit is smaller than my last Panasonic phone. During power fails, the phone system will run on the battery in the phone seated in the base unit. Uses AAA batteries, so I can replace them when needed, or if I want higher amp hour ratings for them. There is a feature called one ring delay, in which the phone suppresses the first ring to the audible ringer, until Caller ID data is captured, thus, if it is a known spammer, the phone never triggers the local ringer, so I don't even hear a ring! The spammer gets a "special", message, and I never even know it... Selectable ringtones. Groups to put your contact phone numbers in, that can be renamed if need be. I.E. Friends, family, businesses, etc. Cons: The charger cables are not plugin on the charger side, they are wired in place. The phone does not do CELL Linking, like my previous Panasonic phone did. The directory has to be input manually, (via the phone handset, or from CALLER ID info), and it does not appear to be able to read from a file, the net, bluetooth, or my cell phone. I have no idea if the 14,000 numbers from known spammers they put in are ever updated, or how I might force an update if possible. Ringtones are limited, and I have found no way to upload new tones. The instructions are clear, and understandable, but there are hundreds of options for this phone, it is a bit of a slog to get through the setup process, but that happens only once usually. Overall: I like the phone, it makes short work of spammers! When a number comes in I don't know, I hit a button on the handset, and the phone asks for them to state their name. If I don't know them, I hit the, take a hike button, and they go away, and are added to the blocked list. The phone behaves like a phone should, the phone also has an audio equalizer in it, which helps taylor the sound to my liking. The first unit I got did not have a power supply in it for the base unit. I returned it, and got a replacement cross shipped with no hassle. The replacement had all the parts, and has worked flawlessly for several weeks now. I am partial to Panasonic phones, as I have had one for the past 10 years. I hope this one lasts as long. Construction is as solid as my previous phone, so I expect it will last as long... Only time will tell... The cost is low for what it does... If I had to pick again I would pick this phone, unless Panasonic ever added CELL connectivity, to this model, then I'd get that one. 08/02/2024: Almost a year has passed from the time I purchased this phone. It is still working, and I get almost no spam calls anymore... Could not be happier with it!

This Panasonic landline answering system is terrific. Works perfectly, comes pre-recorded, looks good, and was reasonably priced. Total satisfaction here.
