It's alright
I bought this in mid 2018 for a project I never finished. I recently needed a long thermocouple and I knew I had this wire somewhere. I tig weld a bead on one end and attached a plug to the other. It agrees with my fluke thermocouple, so it's good enough for my purposes.

You get what you pay for.
Poor weld on junction. Many units had shorts between junction and insulation.
