DAP Dynaflex 230 delivers where standard latex caulks often fail: flexibility and crack resistance. Application was smooth; the sealant extruded easily from a standard caulk gun with minimal effort, and its consistency was perfect—thick enough not to run, but manageable enough for a clean bead that tooled smoothly with a simple wet finger. Crucially, the low tack and fast skin-over time meant I was able to paint over the sealant in just a few hours without the common problem of paint cracking or bubbling. I used it to seal exterior joints on trim and wood siding, and its adhesion to both painted wood and vinyl surfaces was excellent. ​The true value of the Dynaflex 230 is its elasticity in variable temperatures. Over several weeks of temperature swings (from a frosty morning to a hot afternoon), the caulk did not pull away or shrink from the joint, successfully maintaining a robust, watertight seal. The only minor drawback, which is common with elastomeric formulations, is that cleaning excess sealant off tools requires soap and water immediately—it is less forgiving than standard caulk if you let it sit for even a few minutes. However, for a professional-grade sealant that promises durability and paintability, this product is highly recommended as a reliable choice for areas prone to expansion and contraction.

I strictly only use this product on my RV repairs (including roof repairs) and have had no problems in 4 years of use.

GREAT VALUE

This is packaged different that the same produce purchased at Home Depot in that it has a removable nozzle. You need to puncture the seal inside the tube to get it to flow.
