Awesome
These babies are just plain awesome. I'm using them in my BOB kit, the medical section, to house pills. Easy to put a label on. Will also work on mini kits--like fishing or sewing kits or to house fire starting tinder bits and ferro rod or even to carry spices/flavorings in your mess kit.Pretty much indestructible (obviously, avoid heat). Take the time to carefully and slowly put on the lids for the first time (as they are in 'lock' mode with the rings), and enjoy seeing instantly if a tube's been opened or not. And if you lose a lid, don't fret, just snag one from a soda bottle you pick up at the store.Would work great in lunches or on trips. Or to carry a mini EDC kit in your bag, purse or coat. Only limited to your imagination. Get some, well worth the cost to have a small practically bomb proof vault.

Solid preforms
Got them all with caps, early. Tops are red, not clear. The tops push on and then twist. The are very solid. I am using them for storage of spices and herbs in my motorhome . . . .lots of good storage in a small area. Very pleased with them. Note, the bottom of the tube has a little protrusion where they came out of the mold. The protrusion can be sharp, so I used a wood rasp on the protrusion, and they came off.....no sharp edge.

Good Quality Preforms.
I purchased these so I could put them in a few of my Survival Kits that I am putting together. They are great, I use them for a small fishing kit, medical kit, sewing repair kit, and more. There are many uses for these things, and the plactic walls are very thick. They can take a beating and still keep all of your little odds and in's from spilling all over the bottom of your pack. I would strongly recommend this product for anyone, and yes, I will be purchasing more of them.

Great Value Geocaching Container
I bought these to use for geocaching. They work just as good as any other preform that I have bought from other supply stores. They fit nicely into a 1" PVC pipe so you can make a nice holder. The only thing I wasn't thrilled with was the cap. It is not a regular soda bottle cap; it's a little thinner plastic. So far they are holding up well and I have had no complaints from the finders of my geocaches.

For You Fellow CPF/Flashlight Enthusiasts
If you were wondering, like I was, what batteries will these hold? Well, these are deceptively thick and short, so the insides are narrower than I'm used to with preforms... they are simply tank-like, though and the quality is top notch. So....???? You'll get 2 AA's stacked, or 3 CR123'. Both will fit with a bit of room at the top for some cushioning. Anything with a bigger circumference than a 123 will NOT FIT! My protected, and unprotected 18650's did not fit, nor did any of my IMR's. Cannot deny the price and the quality, just be aware of the size. I will be buying more...

Phenomenal containers
These things are phenomenal as containers for a small amount of material (Including the cap, it is about 6" tall x 1.25" diameter - the width of a soda bottle cap). I filled it up with water and it holds about 1/6 of a cup of water (3 holds 1/2 a cup of water). I am using them for camping to hold salt, pepper (filled all the way is way too much pepper), and sugar. I particularly like how solid they are and that they are water tight.I had a multiple item order so I am not sure if the 2-day shipping delay had to do with the Pre-forms or one of the other items I ordered (fyi, i am an Amazon Prime member and shipping tends to be very fast). My biggest "complaint" is that I did not realize such a product existed..

Caps are not as advertised
The caps that come with this listing are not the same as in the picture. They are much cheaper quality than advertised, made of a thin pink flexible plastic, with no inner blue lining to ensure a seal, an no safety ring. If they do not hold a seal I will be sending them back for a refund. The sticker on the box describes them as having a safety ring, which would have been consistent from times I ordered this item from other vendors.
