Buy the biggest one you can!
I have 4 cats all under 5yrs old & all are fixed. The two older ladies are rather large girth-wise and they are 3 & 4. The other two are a set of twins M/F both are just about 1yr. They are not over-weight and they are longer than the two older chunky ones. The older two don't want anything to do with it really. They are plumpkins and like to lay around soft blankets all day but the twins are on it several times a day. It seems to be the best thing that's happened to them since the 5 tube maze i got them earlier in the year. It's fantastic for them to get some of the pent up energy they have and tho they still have the zoomies it's cut down half of it, especially the middle of the night Daytona 500 race they love to do. This particular one I purchased (after lots of research) was perfect. Expensive yes but WELL WORTH IT!! I even bought the biggest one I think and honestly it's not big enough! But it's almost perfect! The size here counts, i cant stress that enough because they run on it not just walk and when they run they get pretty high up there but you can see where a smaller one would fold them in half the wrong way and they will hurt themselves or hurt each other because many times they are both on it together. I mentioned their ages and sizes because it makes a huge difference. Obviously kittens under 4 months might get lost on a big wheel but remember they grow very fast. If you can afford a smaller one for that age and buy the big one when they are teenagers and adults then by all means do so, but I don't have that luxury and was very apprehensive when buying this because of the cost and very relieved when they jumped on it so many times daily. The other two are missing out. I bought the one that lights up at the bottom when they are running. I did it because the room it's in isn't very lit up. You don't really need it, it doesn't make or break the wheel. It's just a matter of taste. The inside part they run on is a different story. You can use the colors to match the room it's in or not. I put a light grey carpet type in. Because the area is a bit dark I thought they'd be able to see it better. They seem to be good with it. Another thing is that this one is fairly quiet. I've read many of these wheels are loud. This one doesn't bother me at all. It's in my living room in which I sleep on a hospital bed in and it never wakes me up. The AC is much louder. The other great thing about this wheel was putting it together. There's two types of wheels. One that's complicated and takes hours to put together and one that is the complete opposite. This one is the latter of the two. It went together very easily and also pretty quickly. It's the top of the line in exercise wheels. It's literally perfect. It may be big but it doesn't take up alot of space and the inside is wide enough to allow two cats on it together. It's heavy enough to not tip over no matter how rough they are and these babies are definitely rough with their toys. But its not so heavy that it's hard to move around. They only get on it together when they fight over who's turn it is next. Happy, my female twin decided that this is HER wheel and she only allows her brother on it when she's done or taking a break but as soon as she wants it back best believe she gets it back instantly. She also displays much gratitude for it and will run to me to show me that gratitude or leaves me little presents in my bed like her favorite toys or balls. Point being she has been so much happier than she was before the wheel came. (I did name her Happy Kat when we got her as a kitten) The quality is fantastic. It's not flimsy at all and I feel safe letting them go nuts on it. They also feel safe and very confident. Their tails are always straight up like flag poles. One last thing, train them using a Lazer light. Put it just high enough inside the wheel to encourage them to catch it. It made them start using the wheel instantly. Don't bother trying to hang up a toy to get them to use it because it will go all the way around. And really lastly...BUY THIS WHEEL, ITS PERFECT!!! You won't regret it!!

The Gen 7 Wheel is the BEST yet.
Whether you have an energetic kitten or a lazy cat in need of more activity, this wheel provides a great solution for indoor exercise. Here's why the new Gen 7 wheel quickly became a must-have for my cats: One of the standout features of this One Fast Cat Wheel is its incredibly simple assembly. You can have the wheel up and running in less than 15 minutes. No need for professional help or complicated instructions – it’s straightforward, which makes it a hassle-free experience for pet owners. I was super impressed that the pieces snap together much easier and faster than previous models. The design has undergone some improvements, besides ease of assembly. It's more stable than previous models, ensuring your cat can run without the wheel wobbling or sliding across the floor. You pick your own design from the wheel color, wheels and traction pad options, to fit into your décor or style. I got the white wheel for a change, and I love how the foam koi pond pads look for the interior pads. Mine seem to like looking at the fish while they walk/run. This latest version includes new felt traction pad options, which enhance your cat's grip while running, although I chose to stick w/ the colorful foam pads, as these have worked well for us in the past. For those looking to further customize the wheel, new outer pads are available for purchase. Also, this wheel has been engineered to operate with less noise compared to previous models, which is a plus. I've also noticed that the pads on the bottom of the base make it less likely to slide on wood floors while they're running. Quality matters, and this product is proudly made in the USA with non-toxic, lightweight, and recyclable materials. This makes it not only safer for your pets but also an environmentally friendly choice. The wheel is durable and designed to last, without compromising your cat's well-being. They offer free shipping and the wheel comes with a 45-day return policy. I've found that patience is key, and taking the time to train and encourage your cat. Some cats take to it right away, and others need more time and encouragement. My older cats won't touch it, but my four younger cats love it. I trained them with laser pointers, wand toys, treats, and verbal encouragement. They love to be watched and cheered when they are using the wheel, but I've noticed they still use it when I'm not around and watching them. Overall, the One Fast Cat Wheel is an excellent investment for any cat owner looking to encourage healthy exercise for their feline companion. This is my third wheel from One Fast Cat, and I will be a lifetime customer as long as I own cats. Great product that my cats love to use.

Good quality, some concerns
I'm pretty happy with the quality. Assembly was easy alone. I am concerned with the exposed wheels, can't a cat's tail get caught in that really easily? I have two cats and maybe one might get too close on the outside. There might be a slight problem with the unit I got, no matter what I do the track shifts to one side and causes squeaking on one wheel, which also slows it down. Lastly, the whole assembly can wobble if you put it on carpet. If the bases were wider it might be better, although it'd take up more space. I don't have enough space on the wood floor in my apartment for it. My cats haven't fully learned to use it yet but I'm excited for them to try. Update: About 1 month later, both my cats have learned to use it and enjoy it. They meow at me to watch and encourage them haha. I am keeping the 4 star review, the one wheel still squeaks at low speeds in one direction and I can see how the wheels will wear down over time, but they still move smoothly. The fabric on the inside has started to fray a little. It would be nice if the outside of the wheel was more than just the plastic bottom of the track, which can scratch you if you try to stop it from there. I'm also weary of how easy it is for the wheel to come off the tracks, you just have to lift it. I wish it would lock or secure somehow, but I'm sure there's a reason for that. Those are just some notes and areas for improvement in my opinion, but I don't regret purchasing.

.... this is a great cat wheel that I would recommend it comes well packed with parts protected and separated with very clear instructions on assembly which is quick and easy. It's well balanced on quiet wheels and turns easily. Lighter than wood models. Has pads on bottom to help with grip and protect floor. Affordable and ships quick !!

RUN kitty Run
I’m really impressed with this cat exercise wheel! My cat absolutely loves it and figured out how to use it pretty quickly. It’s sturdy, smooth, and runs quietly, so it doesn’t bother anyone when she hops on. I’ve noticed she’s getting more activity and seems happier and more playful. This was a great purchase — highly recommend for any cat that needs a little extra exercise!

The best cat wheel out there!
So we have had this for a week now. We have 7 cats. We had two. And then over the last year we added 5 more as there was an explosion of abandoned cats! We are continually having to add new enrichment because we were not prepared for seven rambunctious furballs. Cat highways, climbing stuff, you name it. So we saw this idea and after researching options we knew we wanted big. It’s important that cats can stretch out while they run. And One Fast Cat seemed to be the brand recommended all over the internet. Even for its name recognition and size, it was fairly priced. The wooden types just really didn’t seem well made. I am so glad we went with this one! It is sturdy although amazingly light weight! It is huge, but exactly what it needed to be. It was packaged with care, so easy to put together, and looks really sleek! The carpet gives them good traction but they don’t get their claws stuck. It has been such fun to watch it in action! Oh, and this one doesn’t have a latch to lock it in place, but it is quiet! Ours is on old wood floor with no underlayment and we never hear it. Tips: Silverdine (or catnip) will make them get on it. To nap. The feather toy idea wasn’t working but the laser pointer made it happen and now they get it on it randomly on their own. So far only two have perfected the run, but it’s only been a week.

Great solution for high energy cats
Know your cat, and you'll succeed! I've been hesitating to get this wheel for a couple of years. I have an orange tabby and a siamese and wasn't completely sure they would use it. They have a middle level of energy and don't play for too long, though they have their zoomies from time to time. Wanted to try it for sure, thinking maybe they needed something different, but the price was too high for risks. So, I resisted. Then I adopted a brown tabby kitten, 3 months old. Even though he has a proper name, he is normally referred to as Nandor the relentless, the Kraken, little terror, tiny wrecking ball of hair or baby hurricane. You could play with him until all strenght left your body, and he would still be zooming around for more. I figured this kind of cat is the reason this wheel exists. So, I had confidence in spending $200 for a little peace. And I wasn't wrong. He used the wheel on day one, and I didn't even have to train him. He was already all over the parts as I was putting it together, and it only took a couple of treats to get him on it. Then just waved my hand a bit on the inner side, and he went. It took him a few days to get used to it, as he would run too fast and misstep a few times. But now he got the hang of it and he uses it by himself, randomly throughout the day, for a few minutes. And that is enough to give me (and the other cats) a rest and keep his energy in check. My other 2 cats want nothing to do with it. I tried multiple ways of enticing them and it was just a big fat Nope from them. Which was dissapointing, but I kinda knew, deep inside, they had chosen the couch potato life. And it's ok, even if just the kitten uses it, it's worth it for peace in the realm. The wheel was very easy to put together, but it is a bit less sturdy than I hoped for the price. And that is the reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5. It is good and sturdy enough for the kitten, but I feel it could definitely be cheaper considering the materials.
