If you have an Alexa in any of her devices, these smart plugs are amazing. It took 30 seconds to set it up and you can have your virtual assistant turning lamps off and on, or running a routine that you design. There are the original Amazon smart plugs, which are kind of expensive, but these Amazon basics are just as good and a bit slimmer than the older models. Not only that, this four pack was on sale during prime days so they were extremely well priced. They came quickly and were packaged well. The ability to connect and function was absolutely perfect. No problems at all.

They are so easy to install and use. They don't loose connectivity, work with Alexa and their own app seamlessly. And a good value.

My goal was to get four lamps in my home connected to Alexa using voice controls. First I purchased four smart bulbs. The process was complex and required me to download a proprietary app on my phone and even then I had no success pairing the bulbs with Alexa so that I could control my lamps by voice command through Alexa. I returned the so-called smart bulbs and purchased four Amazon Basic smart plugs instead. What a difference! These smart plugs are simple to install and intuitive. You plug them into a wall socket and they pair with Alexa seamlessly. They are designed solely to be used with Alexa and no complicated and unreliable additional software is needed unlike the smart bulbs. Just plug them into a wall socket and they start pairing with your Alexa app and 30 seconds later you are connected. They are a simple, elegant, reliable solution for anyone who wants to control their lighting (and presumably any other electrical device) with Alexa so they have voice control over it. Highly recommended.

I love these plugs so much!!! I purchased on Amazon prime day because the sale was too good to pass up, but I would totally pay full price. I bought these for my kids. They enjoy reading before bed and often fall asleep with the lights on. This makes it easy for them to command Alexa to turn the lights off for them. I can use the Alexa app to set their lights to be turned on at a specific time in the morning to help them wake up to get ready for school. It’s so useful and saves electricity as well!! Highly recommend.

Two different table lamps have been sitting idle for some time because the "smart plugs" that they were on became unresponsive, again. I wasted some time, again, trying to get them to reconnect. Finally I decided to look for alternatives, and quickly came across these Amazon Basics Smart Plugs. I ordered them and was ready to send them back if there were ANY issues.The package arrived. I opened it up, looked at the brief instructs, and plugged in the first one. It IMMEDIATELY connected! I plugged in the lamp, and tested the turn on/off voice commands. It worked!!! The easiest smart plug setup I have ever had. I plugged in the second unit, and accidently touched something which lost the setup prompt. Worked my way back to it, and quickly set up the second. It too worked!!!My only regret is that I hadn't found the Amazon Basics Smart Plugs before I purchased the first units. (I don't think Amazon had started the Basics line of products back then.)
