Easy to use and washes out.
The wand worked great for my eyebrows, and the chalk brush was good, but with my hair being short and straight I think I would have liked an option to remove the comb and just have the chalk in a holder. It washed out easily and I had no staining (but I also have brown hair). I washed it twice and the second wash had no color in the suds or rinse. I had no transfer of color to a hat I was wearing. It gave my hair an all-over reddish brown tone. I imagine on lighter hair it would be vibrant.

Very Temporary. Bright Color
The chalk is bright for a day, then fades quickly. Need to re-apply, then re-re-apply, then re-re-re-apply. The mascara is great, but would be better if waterproof.

Works on horses
I got this to cover up my horse’s old halter markings. It worked pretty well for what I was using it for. I used the mascara item to do this. The chalk would have worked better and probably lasted longer but I was running out of time/day light.

Good color for the price
I thought it came out good for temporary color! I was wearing it with a Buggy the clown costume. I have light brown hair & it came out pretty bright. It was easy to put on and could have been brighter had I put more on. But it's messy. It didn't get on my clothes much and was fine when I was wearing it out but putting it on & taking off expect it to get everywhere. It got all over my bathroom, hands, shower, and I was finding specks all along the walls! But it came right off with alcohol & white vinegar! Had to wash my shower afterwards as all of it was blue & stayed on my skin for about a day. To the ppl who complained so much about the mess; it's temporary color so the point is it comes off and it's $8. Lower your expectations and maybe don't wear it with anything fancy? 😅

Don't Bother
Pretty much worthless. The chalk is so hard you could rub it on your hair for as long as you like, but there will be no transfer of color (I got the white). I finally soaked it in water and rubbed it on my wet hair, and got a bit of transfer, but other products produce a much better result. The wand leaves the hair looking like someone ran some white plaster over it; very clumpy and dull.

So-So: only one applicator worked
I ordered the white for my daughter's 100 day of school costume (dress like you're age 100). The chalk comb did not work at all. It was almost as if it were dried up. I was pressing hard on my daughters head to wear it would hurt her. I couldn't even get any to come off rubbing and pushing my fingers on it. The paint in the tube, however, worked really well. It went on easily and looked great. However, it took a while to apply since I had to do all of her hair with a mascara brush rather than the bigger one that didn't work. It also would not have been enough to color all of the hair of an adult. We got lucky that she is only 5 and has a light brown hair. Maybe the chalk comb for other colors works better? Or we just got one that was old?

Bright, Fun, and Easy to Use
A Great Temporary Hair Chalk I recently tried the Blue Temporary Hair Chalk Color Comb+ Washable Hair Mascara Dye, and it’s a surprisingly solid pick for quick, vibrant color without commitment. I haven’t used the comb yet, but it looks like the comb design will make applying color straightforward. I used the Washable Hair Mascara Dye to color some fake mustaches for an event. The blue shade is vivid and eye-catching, and it builds nicely with multiple passes if you want a deeper shade. One friend used it on his real mustache, and it washed out easily with shampoo, so you can experiment with different looks without worrying about long-term commitment.

Super Vibrant and Easy to Get Out
I love this product. I wanted something vibrant that washes out super easily and I got exactly that. I have blonde hair so I imagine it shows up better on lighter hair since the reviews of people with brown hair weren’t all great. But you can see in the picture how blue it is. The portion closest to my roots is the mascara wand and the bottom of my hair is the chalk. The mascara is super blue while the chalk is a little more subtle. Both went on extremely easily. I only did one swipe of the mascara wand (with a little blending) and a few of the chalk to coat all of the hair. Blending both together in the middle gave a sort of ombre effect. The second picture is what it looked like after I rinsed it out an hour later, just using water, no shampoo. Next to nothing is left. I will say if you don’t comb through the mascara liquid on your hair, it leaves it pretty stiff, but combing it out worked to smooth it out! Super easy to use, very vibrant and even easier to get out.
