I originally bought Steramine when all other sanitizers had sold out at the beginning of Covid, as it contains coronary ammonium, the basic family of chemicals used in Lysol, hospital, sanitizing wipes, and most other non-bleach sanitizers. This particular product is designed for dunking dishes into a dilute solution to sanitize them at restaurants and is considered food-safe without a rinse. That being said, half a tablet in a 1 quart spray bottle makes the more concentrated end of its recommended use, and works great for sanitizing countertops with a slight clean effect, without a need to rinse them down to remove detergent like is the case with Lysol concentrate. My primary use for this is as a "laundry sanitizer", both to help kill off nasty's coming home from work on scrubs, and to keep workout clothes smelling fresh. It's much cheaper than Lysol brand laundry sanitizer, it seems to work just as well. I dissolve two tablets in some warm water and pre-soak the laundry for about 15 minutes, and have a great results. Even when I've forgot laundry in the washing machine overnight, there is never a musty smell like when it happens without laundry sanitizer. The stuff really is a multipurpose sanitizer, and unbeatable for the price.

These are unscented. Instead they use a light blue dye which is pretty strong and can get into stuff, so bear that in mind when using this. Reusable cloths and etc will be a sort of light cyan color after a while (but not deep blue.) Perhaps if you wash better than I do it comes out more. I'm guessing it must be a food coloring since this is supposed to be food safe. It's not a strong amount of it at least and I'm sure doesn't remotely approach at all toxic levels (as long as you don't eat the tablets. Please don't do that.) One thing to bear in mind is these tablets need two or more hours to fully dissolve. So plan ahead! I started to prepare a batch an hour before I needed it thinking I was allowing plenty of time and they weren't even close to fully dissolved. I have no clue why they would be designed to dissolve so slowly unless it makes them less powdery/generally safer. Ideally you're going to want to prepare your batches of cleaning fluid overnight rather than on the same day. I wish they didn't have as much blue in them as they do, but it seems to be harmless. You can't really see it on surfaces when this is used properly. Many will greatly prefer that to the perfumes that other cleaners use. I think maybe it is required by law to have something identifying perhaps? I too prefer this to the perfumes I guess. I just wish they dissolved faster.

If you're in the food industry and working in the kitchen you will need this for sanitizing dishes pots and pans silverware this will cover you from bacteria it's a great sanitizer money well spent I use this product everyday it is safe for your dishes and pots and pans you must air dry this product
