I’ve been using the Arlo cameras for a few months now and I’m really impressed. The video quality is excellent, both during the day and at night, and the wide-angle view covers a lot of space. Setup was simple and only took a few minutes with the app. I love that they are completely wireless, so I didn’t have to deal with cables or drilling holes. The rechargeable batteries last several weeks before needing a charge, and I get instant motion alerts on my phone. The app is intuitive and makes it easy to check live feeds or review past recordings.

I recently purchased the Arlo Pro 5S security camera, and I am extremely impressed with its performance. The 2K resolution delivers crystal-clear video quality, both during the day and at night, thanks to its color night vision. The details are sharp, making it easy to identify faces and objects. Setup was quick and hassle-free using the Arlo app. I love that it connects via dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), which provides a stable connection with minimal lag. The battery life is impressive, lasting much longer than I expected on a single charge. The smart notifications and AI-powered detection are a game-changer. It accurately distinguishes between people, animals, and vehicles, reducing unnecessary alerts. I also appreciate the built-in siren and two-way audio, which add an extra layer of security. One of the best features is the compatibility with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit, making it super convenient to integrate into my smart home setup. The local storage option (if used with an Arlo SmartHub) is also a great addition for those who prefer not to rely solely on cloud storage. Overall, the Arlo Pro 5S is a fantastic investment for home security. It’s reliable, high-quality, and packed with smart features that give me peace of mind. Highly recommend!

After having this Arlo system (I actually have 5 battery powered cameras, a wired doorbell camera and a wired floodlight camera) for couple weeks now I am comfortable stating that I regret this purchase. I’ll just cover 2 of the complete deal killer issues here, but there are additional problems with the Arlo system. First, a couple of the cameras will not stay connected and will not reconnect. I have zero connection issues with other devices on my wifi network and my connection speed to the Internet tests at just under 1gb per second. My doorbell camera will just randomly be offline and not work as does the wired floodlight camera. At this point the floodlight camera will not reconnect. I spent 2 hours of my time going through all of Arlo’s troubleshooting instructions before calling their customer support, which is apparently all based in India. I then spent nearly an additional 2 hours on the phone with their support doing basically the same thing. With this camera, it is located outside at 14’ high over my garage doors, so it’s not exactly convenient to spend a good hour’s worth hanging at the top of a ladder in below freezing weather. Regardless, I followed their instructions for nearly 2 hours which included sending them several screenshots verifying what errors their app was showing. Now I’m waiting until some other support people up their chain of command can call me back. Clearly there is either a problem with this camera or their software; neither of which I can control. I feel that I have wasted far more of my time than I should because their product has failed. It’s bad enough that this product lasted less than 2 weeks but now I am forced to literally waste hours and hours of my time speaking with people in India. I am done with this camera/floodlight. Now the worst problem with the Arlo product. One of the selling points is that, with their paid subscription, their camera software can detect the difference between a person, a vehicle, an animal and a package. Sadly, this is not true. I’ve now wasted hours on the phone with their customer support in India trying to resolve this problem with zero success. When “arming” their camera security system at night (or any other time for that matter) I do not need to have alerts sent to me because a squirrel ambled by at 3am. I also have outdoor pets that will also walk past the cameras all throughout the night and those too cause the Arlo system to send me a false alert that I have someone walking around home. It didn’t take but a night or two before we had to disable the alarm system all night to stop the constant false alerts. In order to try and prevent these constant false alarms, customer support had me turn the sensitivity down so far that the cameras won’t detect a person walking up to my door. The lady in India seemed to think this was a good solution! Then the other “solution” was to stop the system from contacting me when an alert was triggered. Again, this too renders the system useless. The addition problem with the Arlo system is that all these false alarms really kills the battery life of the cameras. Their solution to this problem is for me to buy a $60 solar panel for each camera. This adds enough to the already higher priced cameras that they are not competitive with the pricing. By the time you take into consideration the hardware problems, the connectivity issues, the software problems and difficult to understand customer support based in India, these factors totally erase any potential attributes to buying this wireless security system. Because of these problems, along with other problems I don’t have time to type out here, I see no value in the Arlo system at this time. I wish Arlo functioned as advertised but, sadly, it does not and I certainly cannot recommend this product and their required service.

Can't believe how effective the Arlo Pro 5S is, especially the 2-way audio. It makes communicating easy when I'm away from home. The camera's quality is impressive, and the setup was straightforward. Overall, a reliable addition to my security system.

Around our home, we've owned a lot of security cameras over the years. I picked up this Arlo camera several years ago to help cover a 'dead spot' in our coverage around the house. Given that it was wireless and battery powered, I felt it was a good alternative to running power and network to location that was a bit further away from the house. Installation and setup was relatively straightforward. The image quality was good and I was happy that it includes audio. The cameras hold up well to the weather, which is nice given that we've seen some cameras that fail over time. I'm giving this product 4 stars because of the battery life. After about 18 months, the battery started failing, only providing a few weeks of power with each charge. Having the pull the battery out simply to charge it frequently is a pain. I added a solar panel to the camera, plus a new battery, and it's like having a new camera. I never have to worry about the battery dying. The app for Arlo cameras is very good; I have ours configured to give me notifications when there's movement detected by the camera and a recording is availble. All in all, it's a good camera to help provide coverage where you may be lacking coverage. However I will state that having a solar panel from the beginning makes a huge difference.

I have bought a number of Arlo cameras for each property and they work great once setup. Cons - setup is painful and never seems to be smooth. Nice to have a 1800 for customer service.

If you happen to be in India please do not buy this product. It turned out to be a useless product even though I paid a premium for it, as the current app does not support 5SPro in India. I am hugely disappointed as such products are allowed to be sold on the platform inspite of the product being not fully supported to be functional. As a consumer this I feel cheated by not being informed correctly before purchasing.

En la aplicacion de arlo en Mexico no aparece esta camara, falta que la actualicen. Espero que no tarde mucho para poderlas utilizar

Es importante no vender productos en México que no funcionan en el país, sobre todo que la Empresa no lo advierte hasta que entras en contacto con ellos en el servicio de post venta.
