Avene Hydrance Intense Serum 30ml

I have been using Avene Hydrating Serum for a few years now. It is far from perfect for my angry red sore skin, but is ten times better than anything else I tried in the preceding years, and I tried a LOT of different lotions and potions - almost everything I tried made my skin worse. Avene makes it better. Recently the formulation and the name has changed, in my case for the better (see below), but every skin is unique, so I recommend testing the new formulation on a small area. The two photos I have added show the differences: - this is now a REhydrating serum, rather than a hydrating serum - the Avene sub-brand has moved from Optimale to Intense (on the Avene website this specific item is shown as a complementary product to the Optimale range - it now looks like a cream rather than a serum That final point had me very worried when I reordered my usual Avene and receive this new formulation - my skin hates creams and I was worried that I was losing the one skin treatment that works. It is still very light and in texture isn't much different to the old version, it is just the visual appearance that has moved significantly - opaque and less liquid, as you can see from the close up photo. In usage though, it is hard to distinguish - thicker and creamier, yes, but not by much, and my skin takes it in just as well, with no greasiness and as usual a small amount goes a long way. For me, this new version works slightly better - enough that one friend thought I had found a new product. My skin is quite cyclical (so much for being a man!), but over the past month it has been a step forward overall, so I am happy. Very happy. Everyone is different though, so take care. I love Avene products and this serum is maybe a little expensive but is fantastic, my skin is very sensitive and allergic and this serum really helps absorbs quickly and a little goes along way, I would definitely recommend

I am so glad I found this product. It is a brilliant yet extremely gentle moisturising and protecting serum which suits my skin (fair, pink, sensitive) down to the ground. I just hope it will still be around when I finish the current bottle. The above is what I wrote for my initial purchase. I have purchased another bottle to replace my nearly empty one and notice that the product is slightly different as described by another reviewer here. It appears to have a similar effect - absorbent, non greasy, good for my skin but have given it four not five stars until I can be certain the new formula does not cause me any problems.

Great serum a bit pricey as is small container. Nice smell.

It made my eyes water and the skin around my eyes became very sore and red. I had to stop using it. Moved onto using Avene cicalfate instead.

So soothing!! I use 2 pumps each time so it goes quickly, but it makes my skin so smooth and happy. A nice base for the Avene moisturisers.

A friend gave me a bottle of Avene as a gift because she liked it so much. We both had been using Clinique. I didn’t think I’d like anything more than I liked Clinique. I really like Avene! It’s not heavy and leaves your skin moisturized with a clean feeling. My skin is sensitive and I have no sensitivity issue with this product. It has a light, clean fragrance. I highly recommend this product.

It is a very light, hydrating lotion. Good for sensitive skin.

Per quanto idrata non sembra un siero, ma una crema. Si asciuga subito, lascia la pelle morbida e luminosa, e soprattutto è ottimo come base trucco!
