Works wonderfully for what I use it for. Great response, no glitches, volume is adequate, automatically find phone after inital setup, clear screen easy navigate. Heat tolerance is well. Sits on dash in hit vehicles Florida summers with no issues no shade. In a Police car.

Having android auto for navigation and Spotify has become the norm in every vehicle I drive/own...however in a older vehicle that doesnt have it, you feel lost without that functionality. This carpuride screen has been the best purchase ive made for my wifes 2013 Infiniti G37 (non nav/touchscreen car). It's given me the android auto functionality and connectivity im used to in all modern cars, in an older car that would never have it. And for the price, it's pretty incredible to be able to add this so easily. I 100% recommend this to anyone wanting to add the modern connectivity features of a new car, to any older car!

Did not stay connected. Every time I turned the car on I had to reset unit. Volume was way too low. Tested it out for a week on a trip out of state and was so frustrated with it I returned it the day we got home. For what it did, it’s way easier to just put my iPhone in the wireless charger holder and use the phone gps. If you have Siri set up you can ask “hey siri get me directions to ——“ and bingo, your on your way. “Hey siri send a text to —- and let them know my estimated arrival time “. Bottom line is if you have an older vehicle without CarPlay, don’t bother wasting your money on this. Use your smartphone the way it’s meant to be used and you’ll have the same capabilities!

The device seems to work ok using Android Auto. Had to order a separate CD mount for it where that part came standard in my 7" model. Had a few quirks that I had to email support (China). Mainly the microphone quality is poor they suggested ordering a separate mic, another $10. It did not come with a backup camera which I ordered (another $20) for the Wife's 2006 Toyota Sienna XLE. Once I had the camera installed there was no setting for adjusting the grid lines. Kind of strange since that option is available on my smaller 7" device. In any case after a few email they sent me an updated operating system image to install. Which seems to have solved that issue. Al in all, it's ok for the money.

Pretty good android auto unit to add functionality to my 20 year old car. Previous owner had stuck an android head unit in the car, which I swapped for a "retro" style unit with physical buttons. So this screen serves as nav, streaming audio, hands free texting, etc. Mount is OK, not necessarily any better or worse than most generic stick on / suction cup mounts. Still playing with features, haven't hooked up a backup camera yet. Only issue currently is the screen doesn't go into dark mode at night and the auto dimming feature is pretty useless. This may be phone side settings I need to adjust, but my other two oem android auto radios do have this functionality when the lights are turned on. The Carpuride doesn't communicate with the vehicle so there's probably some other work around for this. Compared to the rest of the android auto display units, this one seems a good quality for the price.

I was looking at new aftermarket stereos for my truck but the prices (even before installation) were pretty steep, so after reading reviews and watching quite a few comparison videos, Carpuride came out as the company I felt provided the best product. The prices on their website, even with a discount, were a bit higher than purchasing through their Amazon store so here I went, clicked the "add to cart", threw in a 2 year warranty and made the purchase. The C98 arrived quickly and was a breeze to hook up. Much to my surprise, I can use the steering wheel controls on my 2018 Tacoma stock stereo to raise and lower the volume, advance and repeat songs, and make calls via Siri. The boom arm included isn't the best (see update for my solution), and I would caution to make sure your placement is exactly where you want it because the sticky on the suction cup is quite possibly the most amazing adhesive I have ever experienced so moving it around to find the perfect spot is quite the chore, but other than that I would suggest Carpuride to anyone looking to upgrade their older factory infotainment system. Update: Purchased a CD slot mount that has tabs that fit into that back of the Carpuride and saved a ton of cash over the purchase of a new floating screen stereo. Bonus: I didn’t have to remove the factory radio and install a new one.

I have an old expensive Pioneer in dash installed in my even older car that stopped working well (known problem with Pioneer not reading Android Auto.) Couldn't afford a new Kenmore installed so, after lots of research, bought this unit. I just finished setting it up and aside for a few glitches I think I got worked out, it seems great. I'll update if anything negative develops, but at this point I'm feeling like I make the right choice. I have the sound going through an FM channel and it sounds great. The phone quality isn't as good as the old system but workable.

Due to the reviews mostly being by the vine customers I was a bit worried. But the product works very well for my standards. It boots up in less then 10 seconds after starting the car, the response time isn’t perfect, but I’ve been in cars with built in CarPlay with worse response time. One complaint is with the FM transmitter. Other devices ive used automatically put it on a station for you to switch too. On this one you need to find an empty station and then set the device to that station. Not a huge problem but not ideal. Also other devices around this price point include a camera, but I could get one for 10 bucks on Amazon so that’s not really a con just something to think about. I will come back after a while and give an update because it bothered me how few real reviews this product had.

excelente aparato, tenía una pantalla china que no me daba el ancho, hacía cosas raras, no se escuchaba bien, etc. en cambio este funciona de lo lindo, por cierto muchos dices que no le puedes apagar el sonido de la bocina integrada, pero si se puede desde el menú.

---- Original report ----- I am using this 9 inch Android Auto monitor for navigation purposes with GalaGPS. This unit connected via Bluetooth almost instantly through my Samsung android phone. Very little lag and right on showing the GPS position on the map. I am only using it for Navigation while on the back roads and don't need the other features it has to offer, even though I tested most of them. The speaker could be louder. There is no equalizer. It didn't allow Google Maps to be loaded. I do want to change the display from north up to heads or course up.. This I can't do. My cell phone can do it in GalaGPs but on this monitor I can't do it.. I want to be able to change this and I would like the company to tell me how do I do that? No information online addresses this. This appears to be a decent monitor and time will tell how durable and dependable it is. So far it working great however I want to be able to change the display. This is a must for me.. ---- 03 November 2024 The supplier contacted me about my issues, and helped me to my complete satisfaction. This level of support is what makes sellers stand out above others on Amazon. The customer service that I received was excellent. . This question is this? Would I purchase from this supplier again? Added so much value to my daughters driving experience.. Bluetooth connection to the phone to a bit to get connected. But once connected apple carplay worked a treat. Using the audio out to the car stereo was a bit tricky, as had lots of interference in the audio quality... however with a bit of fiddling with the AV out level/ sound level in the settings menu we reached a good quality sound output. Overall happy with design and functionality. Would recommend for any old car. Sound would work better by linking with car head unit by bluetooth etc.
