Best I have ever used!
I have tried aids from an audiologist for Thousands of dollars, I did not like them. These are perfect for me and sound better than the expensive ones. I actually bought two pair. One charging case had an issue and they sent me two new ones for free. They have also been very conscientious with follow up communication to see if I had questions or needed help. The phone app and aids are fantastic. I always wondered why no one made air pod looking hearing aids that pair to your phone. I can hear great I can listen to media from my phone with the aids I can talk on the phone with the aids and people can hear me with no issues Everything about them is Perfect! I highly recommend them!

Had to reinstall app to log in after recent app changes.
These were working great for me, but in the last month or so I've been unable to log into the app, the app didn't require login before. When I tried to log in, the app said that it was sending me a code in email but I never received the code, even in the spam folder. Today I tried again and was able to get the one time code to try and log in and now they're asking for demographic information and once I fill that out the app hangs, I'm still unable to login. This means I'm unable to update the hearing test and apply corrections to my device. Update: after uninstalling and reinstalling the app I'm finally able to log in and update the device with a hearing test.

Decent for the money
This is my third pair of OTC aids and I have only owned the Cearvols for 10 days. My previous pairs were other brands and were hearing amplifiers vs Aids. These are a step up from amplifiers, no question. Hearing is very individual and is not a 'one size fits all' scenario. That is one reason why I like these aids better than what I used previously - they come with an app to control the aids and to either load existing audiogram info or perform your own hearing test/audio profile. Like an audiologist would perform. In effect, you become your own audiologist which may be good or bad depending on your abilities. The app is a bit of a double edged sword bc I feel it still needs some work ie: I find the haptic controls for volume don't always work on the first, second or third swipe - why? Pretty basic stuff. Also, my hearing profile failed to load multiple times but support was very responsive to my emails. In the end, it loaded somehow when I tried again the next day. That's the bad news but not dealbreakers in my case. Most functions work well and the app overall is well designed and simple to use. I am no techie but have used many apps so am comfortable with them which may not be the case if you buy these for your aged parent. While I am still getting used to these, overall my initial impressions are positive and I hope to improve the aid tailoring as I use them more and in varied environments. In summary: Pro: 1. App that can download your own audiogram or perform your own hearing test. You can also choose to manually adjust the hearing profiles instead of using your audiogram which I did at first 2. 4 Preset environments to quickly change sound profile 3. Form factor. A personal choice but I like the airpod style. They stay secure while eating/talking. In the ear kept falling out in my case and over the ear interferes with my glasses and masks. 4. Seem well made. Time will tell. Charge case indicates power bank charge status and app indicates L/R aid battery status. Mine came charged from factory and I still have 2 of 3 bars power bank charge after 10 days w/o charging it. Aid batteries last longer than I've been able to wear them. Other reviewers have had DOA product so perhaps I got lucky. 5. Much improved in windy outdoor environments bc of ear tips that block wind better than my previous product 6. Excellent for phone calls (iPhone 14 in my case). In fact, this is its best feature. I was shocked at the clarity and natural voice sound of callers. It was like having perfect hearing again. If Clearvol could extend this sound quality/clarity to normal use it would change the industry. Cons: 1. Somewhat mechanical or tinny sound quality under normal use. This may be something that I can improve with further tailoring. It is also something that many hearing aid users experience when they have paid thousands for their devices so I generally accept this as a function of most aids. 2. As ear buds for music they suck. Luckily I don't use them for this. I just want to hear people talking clearly 3. Poor haptic response for volume control on app. Difficulty loading hearing test profile. Once profile loaded, overall sound levels increased substantially. I may do another test to see if that makes a difference or go back to setting modes manually. Perhaps a new App release fixes this as I am currently on 2.5 when I know 3.2 exists. However, the app wont refresh to 3.2 for some reason - I have a help request submitted. 4. Would prefer noise cancellation and voice enhancement to be even better. Who wouldn't? Realistically I think the app and my user experience will keep improving over time (my hope) and I will attempt to post an update in a few months. While I have some digs against a few specific things, overall my 4/5 rating reflects my positive view of this product and I would recommend it. So far, I am happy with them. Could they be better? Sure, but anyone with hearing issues should try these before spending thousands on devices that may or may not work just as well. Will your hearing ever be perfect again? Nope (except in phone mode!) , but these may work great for you and perform at 80-90% of prescription aids for a fraction of the price. 4 Month update: I am liking these Aids more and more. After a somewhat rocky start with the app (although excellent customer support is available) things have calmed down a bit. I think Cearvol is taking customer feedback seriously and are continuing to improve the app. I am on app version 3.9 now. Still waiting for haptic control improvements and ability to toggle on/off your audiogram. Aid batteries last all day and charge bank/case recharges 2 times or fast charges in 10 min for 3 hrs as described. So far the best OTC device I have tried. Love the overall ease of use, the well designed app (with a few bugs yet), the ability to create or use an existing audiogram, comfort and incredible value. The Diamond X1 isn't a D quality flawless piece, but it ranks pretty high up. Officially I am fan and recommend them for anyone with mild-moderate hearing loss along with a few caveats. But I am confident that Cearvol will address issues in the queue.

Definitely worth the money, at least for mild to moderate hearing loss
I am definitely happy with my purchase! Pros: Built-in hearing test Multiple ways to adjust or balance the sound Works well with Bluetooth audio when listening to MP3 or similar files Hearing aid portion is quite decent, at least for my mild to moderate hearing loss. Adjustments can be made either manually with finger touches, or with an app that can be downloaded. Once you have everything adjusted to your satisfaction, the system will remember the settings, so you don't have to readjust every time you use the hearing aid. Email technical assistance is very good and responds well if you can explain your problem sufficiently. Responses may take a day or two, since the tech people are in China. Cons: The instruction manual is quite detailed - perhaps overly detailed and complex for some users. It may take several trials and some time to get the hearing aid domes selected to be most comfortable and most responsive.

The search is over
I have tried several different brands of hearing aids. They all had issues or they quit working. These hearing aids are what I was looking for. I like that you don't have to push a button to change from hearing aid mode to bluetooth mode. Battery life seems to last long time. They are comfortable to wear. The app is easy to use. And you can change your own audio graph settings. Highly recommend. I bought the black one I'm thinking of buying the white ones next.
