I have used many other brands. It looks well constructed and was very easy to install.

Review updated: Company contacted me and we discussed the product. Anna (the co-founder), was pleasant and cooperative with me. We came to a resolve with and about the product. I am pleased with the outcome and would like to wish the company the best in all of their endeavors. I appreciate the opportunity to resolve this issue. ————————————————————— I live in an apartment temporarily and the water here is horrifically hard. I have never been so ashy after a shower in all my life. It has been about 3-4 weeks since the installation in the shower which was very simple however, after emailing and trying to call the company to find out how to order more filters, I have yet to receive a response. I am pleased with the 7 settings on the shower head but other than that I would have to say that I am BEYOND DISAPPOINTED. I ordered two of them; one for my bathroom and one for my kids and as I said, there has been absolutely ZERO difference in the hardness of the water.

I have lived in my home for about 16 years. We have a community well and septic system that is treated. Not the same as city water, but not exactly straight well water, either. I have been unhappy with my hair the past few years and realized that it is probably the water. While it's treated enough to be drinkable and not leave rust, it's still got impurities that aren't good for my hair. The system uses chlorine, which is great for bacteria, bad for hair. But a whole house system seems to be a big expense just to have nicer hair. I was really happy to see this item (I honestly never thought about filtering at the source) I picked this up as a Vine reviewer, so what have I got to lose, right? I'm so glad I did. I immediately felt the difference. My hair was lighter. Didn't feel like there was something in my hair that didn't quite rinse out, and as an added plus, my skin is not as dry. I have dry skin, and have to use lotion daily. Even when I do use lotion, it feels like it absorbs immediately and is dry again. After just one shower, I used my lotion, and still felt dewy hours later. This really is a nice product. The shower head itself wasn't overly expensive, however, I did notice the replacement filters are pricey. They can be found on Amazon (there is another filter offered by this company, but it is not the correct one, make sure to search for SH100 REFILL SET) and at this time, cost $30. Very nearly the cost of the whole showerhead and filter to start with. It is generally recommended (I can't find this manufacturers recommendation) to replace your filter every 6 months, so that does end up being pricey. But, if it's worth it, I'll likely pay it. As for installation, it was very easy. The instructions suggested that you didn't need to use thread tape, but it was provided, and I've installed my fair share of water products and, trust me, always use thread tape. Be careful not to use too much, that's just as bad as none at all. Also be careful to thread it carefully before trying to tighten it. You don't want to strip any of the threads. It took this old lady about 3 minutes to remove the old showerhead and replace this one. Two of those minutes were getting the thread tape on correctly. It has seven spray settings, and I found one I really like that targets my hair just right to rinse the soap from my scalp. My previous showerhead didn't quite spray hard enough to get the soap out without scrubbing at my scalp. There are more gentle settings as well. It's very easy to change settings. Over all, a good product, worth the money (at least for the initial purchase) and works well.
