It works and is cheap enough for me to say it is worth it.
I bought this item to help me get into electronics to open them up. I have a precision screwdriver set with some plastic things that just did not work for most things to open the cases up, I was using one of the small flat head bits to get into things. This works and gets into pretty small gaps. It does not seem to work on all things. I like that it has a handle and I should be less likely to cut my hand when trying to open a case now. Worth it to me for $8. I think it is a better buy than the full metal ones for 4 or 6 dollars with no handle.

Light, thin blade.
Good points. Small sized, thin, nice rubberized handle. Fells good to hold, non-sip. Steel blade goes full length of handle. Tried it on a watch to remove the back of the case, worked great. Now for the negative points. No hole in the handle for hanging it (or in my case, a loop of sorts). Blade edge is a bit rough, had to use a fine file to smooth it. Would be nice to have a cap for the blade. Not sure of the type of steel used in it, not described. Will it bend too easily? Or rust? Time will tell. Overall, a good tool for light duty prying, getting an edge open on a case. Will scratch plastic or metal.

Great product for the price!
Amazing prying tool for what it does! Easily opened the sides of my Xbox Series controller and was able to take out the broken bumper plastic. Very durable during the first few uses. Highly recommend!

I’ve used a few different prying tools over the years and this one immediately stands out for control and feel. The blade is thin enough to get into tight seams without feeling flimsy, and the handle gives good grip without being bulky. It’s rigid enough to apply pressure without flexing, which makes a big difference when opening glued electronics or clipped casings. I’ve used it on small electronics and handheld devices and it feels far less sketchy than cheaper plastic tools. Not something you use every day, but if you ever open electronics, this is one of those “buy once, cry never” tools.

The handle makes it more comfortable to use than a normal spudger. The downside is that you may be inclined to use more leverage on the thin metal blade and possibly bend it. It is a good tool to have in your kit.

I don't normally write reviews but I'm unexpectedly happy with this tool. I've been using spudgers, guitar picks and flathead screwdrivers to open cases for decades, usually damaging the cases I'm opening. I wanted to try something different. There are enough negative or mixed reviews of the Jimmy that I didn't expect much but I decided to try it anyways. I have opened 3 cases that were difficult but possible to open without damaging them. The Jimmy left less to no marks where my previous methods would have damaged at least 2 out of 3 of them and it made the remaining one much easier to open. It's very thin, slightly flexible yet relatively strong business end makes getting into or between tight seams much easier than ever before. Anyone who has used plastic spudgers and guitar picks know that those tools are not durable at all. The Jimmy is much more durable than they are. Although i haven't done any damage to it yet, I don't expect the Jimmy to last forever. The Jimmy is a great value and if I have to buy a replacement once in a while I won't mind given its very reasonable price.
