Pretty standard adapter.
I purchased this adapter for my Mazda CX-5, and during setup, I noticed it shares similar internals with many other wireless CarPlay adapters I've used. It offers easy installation, great performance when it works, but sometimes it has dropouts or doesn't auto-connect to your phone when you enter the car. It's a good buy if you can get it for under $50. A bonus is that it's shaped like a bulky thumb drive rather than one of those things that dangle off of the USB so it's less likely to get damaged/torn off. It also supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, whereas I have seen adapters that only support one or the other.

Another good but not perfect CarPlay adapter.
I grabbed this adapter specifically for my wife's Civic and upon setting it up, found that it uses pretty much the same internals as many of the other wireless CarPlay adapters I have used over the years. This means what you get here is: easy setup, excellent performance when working, and the occasional dropout and/or failure to auto connect to your phone ever once in a while when entering your car. A good product if you can get it for under $50.

Complete and utter game changer
Having only recently upgraded from a 2002 Toyota to a 2021 Honda plug-in EV hybrid, I am completely new to the world of CarPlay and phone integration while driving. As much as I loved the ability to have control of my phone while driving, the requirement to always have it plugged in through USB was such a pain that I would often just ignore the CarPlay screen infront of me and use the phone traditionally. It seems like such a whiney reaction, but having to constantly have a cable connecting my phone to my car removed quite a bit of flexibility from my driving set up.Then I stumbled across this wireless adapter on Amazon Vine and thought, "why not?". After receiving the package, I was a little suspicious of its effectiveness given the bare-bones packaging and lack of instructions. I was sure this meant that getting it set up would be a multi-hour profanity-fest and I put aside a Saturday morning to get it all set up. Well, color me surprised when I plugged the dongle into my car, immediately saw it appear in bluetooth on my phone, and then instantly start working as intended.Every time I get into my car now, this thing automatically boots up with it and instantly routes all of my maps and audio to the CarPlay screen and system without me having to touch a button or plug in any cables. This alone is why I am providing 5 stars as it has allowed me to integrate CarPlay into my driving, and greatly reduced my distractions while driving. There are a few bugs here and there when swapping between multiple BT sources, but the worst I've ever had to do to remedy this was turn my car off and on again. Furthermore, there is a significant lag between the phone screen and audio (upwards of a second), but in 99% of cases this is completely unnoticeable. Honestly, if this is an issue for you, all I can say is to stop watching YouTube videos while you drive and switch to podcasts.Overall, a truly game changing product for my travel needs and an easy 5/5 even at its steep $50 price tag.

Convenient Yet Inconsistent: A Mixed Review of the VCARLINKPLAY Wireless Android Auto
While the VCARLINKPLAY Wireless CarPlay Adapter/Android Auto offers the convenience of wireless connectivity for cars lacking this feature, its inconsistent performance leaves much to be desired.Pros:Convenience: When the device works as intended, it seamlessly connects your smartphone to your car's infotainment system, allowing for hands-free operation of CarPlay or Android Auto.Plug & Play: Setting up the adapter is straightforward, and its plug-and-play design makes installation a breeze.Compatibility: The adapter is compatible with a wide range of factory-wired CarPlay/Android Auto cars from 2016 onwards, providing a solution for vehicles lacking built-in wireless connectivity.Cons:Inconsistent Connectivity: The most significant drawback of this device is its inconsistent connectivity. While it may connect flawlessly on some occasions, it fails to establish a connection on others, requiring manual intervention to reset the device.Reliability Concerns: The unpredictability of the adapter's performance raises reliability concerns, undermining its usefulness as a seamless wireless solution for CarPlay/Android Auto.User Experience: Having to troubleshoot connectivity issues detracts from the overall user experience, leading to frustration and inconvenience during daily commutes or road trips. Conclusion:In conclusion, while the VCARLINKPLAY Wireless CarPlay Adapter/Android Auto offers a promising solution for adding wireless connectivity to compatible vehicles, its inconsistent performance and reliability issues hinder its effectiveness. Potential buyers should weigh the convenience of wireless connectivity against the frustration of dealing with intermittent connection problems before making a purchase decision.

Works
I really like this product as it allows you to do wireless Android Auto which is a huge luxury. It is one of those things that you dont know your missing until you have it and get to use it. It is so nice to get in the car and not have to hook up a cord for it to work. It has worked perfectly every single time so far and has been in use for several months. Product seems to be well made and I really have no complaints.

Works well with Appleplay; unable to connect with Android auto
I was unable to connect to Android auto and gave up after several tries. I also have an iPhone so it didn’t matter. Packaging for the device indicated it will work for both apple and android, but that wasn’t the case

Wireless CarPlay Adapter
Probably great for som but not for me. Doesn’t fit in my 2020 Mitsubishi Triton and also doesn’t fit in my 2003 Daihatsu Charade. So I’m not sure what it fits in. Nice, cute looking little unit thought.
