Very fun product!
LOVE IT tested it out on my backyard first as i was a bit skeptical but everything checks out PERFECTLY its durable very easy to unpack pack ropes were thick straps were easy to use and i like how you have so much room inside sorry about the picture wasnt the best at tying the rope for the net protection but yeah it feels comfortable but i do have to add that it is thin so it gets cold fast so you might want to have a jacket on if you want to chill here for long and yeah overall this is a very strong product 10/10 would buy again as a gift or something

The Hidden Gem of Budget Hammocks!
We recently went camping with all of our kids, typically we have some of the family hammocking and the younger kids sleep in a tent. But we thought we might need hammocks for everyone this time around due to the likelihood of uneven ground and hiking in. I did a lot of research into many different hammocks before choosing this one! I needed something that was high quality without costing a ton. Our teens are used to hammocking, but having this set up for the littles turned out to be awesome. They slept great. The mosquito nets also allowed us to attach fairy lights to the tops using the same ropes. We would turn them on before all the kids dispersed to their hammocks so they could easily find their way around. Then after they were settled we would turn them off before we went to bed. I was considering buying a more expensive lay flat hammock for myself. I was worried because I often deal with my neck shifting out of place. I slept in this all week long and never had an issue with back or neck pain at all. They were so easy to set up, good quality straps and nets. We had an issue with one net that the company replaced so quickly. Their customer service was genuinely a pleasure to deal with (which is a bit of a miracle when it comes to customer service reps, but they were great!) They don't weigh too much. Even our younger ones (3, 5 and 7) can carry their own in their hiking packs. I don't often write reviews, but this product turned out to be such a blessing for us on our recent trip that I knew I needed to come back and share. If you're on the fence, it's more than worth the price. In the picture it may look like the net lays low, but it doesn't, this is because once the person gets in and weighs the hammock down the net stays up higher. It is actually very spacious and doesn't droop towards you or feel claustrophobic at all. That had been one of my personal concerns about the net, but it was never an issue for us.

This is a great Hammock!
First off, I haven't reviewed many hammocks, in fact this is the first one I have ever purchased or used for that matter. AND I LOVE IT. I got the double, and like one of the reviewers said, it's almost TOO big. But I'm 6'1 and 235lbs and I like having a full back support when sitting up and using it like a couch. I would definitely (and I plan to!) Purchase the smaller one. I know, I know. But I gotta know if it's better! The extra capacity is really nice and me and my lady really enjoyed it. Extremely comfortable with both of us, the thing is very sturdy. We didnt fall through! I can also personally attest to the bug net's anti-bug capabilities. Saved me from a ton of bites and the creepy crawlies already. The loops provided do a really nice job of keeping the net wide and above you. The only two complaints I have. If you are the only person in it, prepared to look up. At the trees, the sky, the clouds IN the sky..because you have been swallowed by the hammocks loving embrace. And unless you want to look like a gopher coming out of the hole, best to make sure you wanted to lay down. BUT IM AN INTROVERT! I really dig it. It kind of removes the world and allows me to focus on ME and that really cool limb up there. The carabiners included are legen..wait for it..dary. They are damn near bullet proof and are just good gear. Rest in piece stuff bag. It's a stuff pouch now. The string to close the stuff bag has ripped or come off somehow. I wrap it up in my rain fly and I'm good to go. I cannot wait to start camping this year with this really great hammock. Well done! Thank you for a great product!

Durability and Quality
I am absolutely thrilled with the Sunyear Camping Hammock! After using it for over three weeks on two different trips, I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations in every way. The bug net is an absolute game-changer. It provided excellent protection against insects and held up beautifully, even with frequent use. It made my nights in the wilderness so much more comfortable and worry-free. The straps are sturdy and reliable, giving me peace of mind throughout my trips. They are well-designed and easy to set up, allowing me to relax without any concerns about durability. The overall size and comfort of the hammock are also fantastic. Despite being marketed as a two-person hammock, it feels incredibly roomy and comfortable, offering plenty of space for two people or extra gear. Compared to other hammock tents I've tried in the past, this one stands out for its superior durability and reliability. It's a relief to finally find a high-quality two-person hammock tent that performs exceptionally well, even during extended trips. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. It’s clear that Sunyear has put a lot of thought and care into designing a product that meets the needs of serious campers. I highly recommend this hammock to anyone looking for a dependable and comfortable camping hammock!

Very nice but beware of hammock width vs. your height
This is actually quite a nice hammock for the money. It comes with everything you need to set it up quickly (2 carabiners, 2 1" wide tree straps, 2 stringers) and start lounging in comfort. It has triple stitching on the body seams, and double stitching on the seams where the bug net attaches to the hammock. Yes, it has a bug net! You can lie in it, like any other hammock, OR you can flip it over and use it with the attached net. It includes two stringer lines to let you raise the net above you. The net has a double zipper, on one side of the hammock, and is permanently stitched to the opposite side, allowing entry from the one side. I haven't tested it, yet, but the size of the netting looks to be small enough to keep out most all of the bugs that might annoy/bite you. It also has two pockets. One large pocket (that is actually the carry bag) on the outside, that is large enough to stash maybe three 1 liter water bottles, or items of equivalent size, and one smaller pocket, inside the bug net, that is big enough for a phone, a single 1 liter water bottle, or any smaller items. The only downside, for me, is that I mistakenly ordered the single size (55" wide) hammock, instead of the double size. I am just under 5'8" and I really wish I had ordered correctly. While I AM able to lie at an angle across the width of the hammock, I feel that the double size would allow me to lie a little flatter and more comfortably. Again, this is my own fault for not paying attention when I placed the order. If you're shorter than 5'8", the single width may be fine for you. Just my personal preference. Also, I don't feel that this single width hammock would leave you enough room to comfortably use with a sleeping pad. You might be better off with the double wide for that. Other than that, this is a rather nice hammock. It feels sturdy, looks nice, and is WAY more comfortable to lie in, than not. Especially when you can lie in the shade, gently swinging in the breeze! If you're looking for your first hammock, or simply a decent quality hammock at a low price, I don't think you could go wrong with this one. EDIT: With regard to my comments about the width of the hammock and my own, personal comfort - after using this hammock EVERY DAY since my review, I have absolutely gotten used to the size and have made adjustment to the angle at which I hang it. I now have no problem lying in this hammock for hours on end, in absolute comfort. EDIT - 6/18/22 - Have probably used this hammock 200+ times and it is still in great shape. No rips, no tears, no seams coming apart. It's still as comfortable as ever. EDIT - 7/15/23 - This thing is a tank! 3 years on and this hammock is still truckin' with no signs of weakness. EDIT - 10/3/24 - Well, it finally happened. I forgot my hammock at a camp spot and lost the little guy. It had finally developed a small hole near the top of the stuff sack, but that was the only real wear it sustained. No worries. I loved it so much that I got me a brand new one! Even bought one for a friend!

Love this hammock
I have been camping a lot this year and got a hammock because I liked the idea of it. I have become absolutely obsessed with this hammock, reading & napping in it with a cozy blanket is the highlight of my camping experience. The hammock is thoughtfully designed with a mosquito net to protect you from bugs & multiple pockets to put your stuff in, and the straps are adjustable to account for different tree widths/distance between trees. It is crazy how small it packs down, one of my favorite aspects of it. My other favorite feature is the fabric, which is extremely cooling, so even on a sunny day in the 90s I actually start feeling a bit cold, which is perfectly remedied with a nice blanket. The flip side of course is that even with a blanket it gets rather cold when the ambient temperature is 60 or under, so I recommend getting an under quilt to go with this which makes it perfect for fall camping. My only complaint is that I find the rain cover a bit of a pain to set up nicely, I think there could be some re-engineering there. I did have an issue where the mosquito net ripped a bit when I was setting it up but the company quickly sent me a new one even though I bought it through Amazon and not directly from them. Fantastic product and service, highly recommend.
