The CFAยฎ Program assumes basic knowledge of Economics, Quantitative Methods, and Financial Statements as presented in introductory university-level courses in Statistics, Economics, and Accounting. Level I CFA Program candidates who do not have a basic understanding of these concepts or would like to review these concepts can study from any of the three prerequisite reading volumes. Volume 1 covers the basics of Quantitative Methods, including interest rates, present value, and future value; data visualization; probability and probability distribution; sampling and estimation; and hypothesis testing. (Note: The prerequisite readings are intended as introductory material and are not part of the official Level I curriculum.) Printing quality is excellent. Useful for the one who starts learning CFA from the ground.
- Printing quality is perfect with dark black font on quality paper. - Thicker paper in this 2025 version probably 2x as compared to previous years CFA curriculum, but it makes each book very light. I guess this is the reason why CFA 2025 Level 1 curriculum has 10 separated books, instead of 6 in 2024 but I personally love that, it is easier and much lighter to carry around. - If you start CFA with "zero" knowledge about financial equation (e.g., time value of money), you should begin with this book. But the one who already know or can understand financial formula and math easily, you can go ahead to CFA level 1.
