When I tell you this is the exact type of blanket I have been wanting for years now, I truly do mean that. I’ve been looking high and low for the “perfect” snuggly blanket, and this absolutely takes the cake. My last blanket had this minky, soft faux fur on one side, and plush sherpa on the other. I originally loved wrapping myself in the sherpa side, but that quickly changed as it began suffering from friction, the occasional wash cycle, etc. etc. It just wasn’t soft anymore- honestly, it was becoming more itchy than anything else. So I began using the minky side inside. And it eventually dawned on me that I just needed a blanket that had that same material all the way around. In comes this absolute dream of a blanket. For starters, I got it half off. It was still $50, but even then, it is absolutely worth the price. I got the extra large marbled gray and it is arguably the best blanket I’ve ever owned. First major plus- this blanket maintains its shape very well. You guys ever get those awkward bunches in your blankets or comforters that just won’t go away regardless of how many times you punch or try to smooth them out? Yeah, never gonna have that issue with this blanket. I did have to wash it when it first came in since it smelled very lightly of chemicals, but once that was taken care of and it fully dried, it was genuinely perfect. I used the delicate cold wash setting on my washer, NO fabric softener (just detergent), and then put into my dryer on low settings with plenty of dryer balls. It’s not recommend you throw it in the dryer like that, but it worked out perfectly fine for me- I do firmly believe the dryer balls made all the difference. And again, LOW heat settings- preferably no heat if possible. Obviously, if you have the time to hang it up to dry, then absolutely do that. But if not, be very careful about throwing these types of blankets in the dryer. You can melt the tips of the fibers if too much heat is used, causing them to harden. In regards to softness, this is a very cozy blanket. The fur is very soft, cool, and silky to the touch, especially after being washed and dried. The blanket has some decent weight to it, but it’s not the type of heaviness in blankets that leaves you sweating and uncomfortable after 5 minutes whatsoever. I’d probably put it closer to a breathable medium weight blanket as opposed to a light weight. It’s keeps me plenty warm and happy without cooking me like a little dumpling. And the final major plus here? This blanket does NOT shed. I have no idea why or how some other reviewers have had this issue, because the fur on this blanket is very sturdy in that sense for me. There really wasn’t even any stray furs that got caught in the dryer’s lint trap- it was extremely minimal. Overall, I’m beyond thrilled with this blanket, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Do not place all your trust in the handful of negative reviews; this is definitely a worthy purchase.

Soo picture this... you are a brand new Mom, breastfeeding your 6 week old daughter at 3am in a zombie like state because, let’s be real here, you haven’t slept in 6 weeks. You’re basically half naked on your rocking chair while your baby is quite literally sucking the life out of you and guess what, you’re cold. So what do you do to stay semi awake to make sure your baby makes it safely back to her bassinet? You shop for comfy oversized blankets. You open up that wonderful app, you search “comfy oversized blankets”, you find one you like, read the raving reviews, and BAM “Add To Cart” Done. 2 days later the package you basically forgot you ordered arrives, you slice open the box, rip open the plastic barrier, and shove your hand in between the folds of the blanket to test its true softness. What’s your knee jerk reaction? “LIES!” Your Amazon Shopping Tribe has let you down. This blanket is NOT soft according to the clearly scientific method of shoving ones hand in between the folds in order to gauge how the blanket may feel on both sides of your hand. Return. Not Impressed. But do you actually return it? No, you’ve had no sleep remember. You can barely remember to brush your hair. But don’t worry! You plan on rectifying this emotional let down by going on Amazon, searching once more for an oversized comfy blanket (because let’s face it, you NEED the comfort only a great blanket can give), BOOM “Add To Cart” Done. 2 days go by once again. You rip open your new blanket, only to realize YOU 👏🏼 ORDERED 👏🏼 THE 👏🏼 EXACT 👏🏼 SAME 👏🏼 BLANKET. Way to go moron. So what do you do? Well, because your walking oven of a husband keeps the house at just above freezing, you are once again half naked being held hostage by a tiny human and you are COLD. You decide to give the blanket a chance. You rip off the decorative ribbon, remove the cardboard insert (such a waste blanket companies!) and let that baby fly! You are instantly wrapped in a cocoon of warmth and softness, and a surprising amount of weight, which instantly makes you melt. Your knee jerk reaction was garbage. Your Amazon Shopping Tribe was right! This blanket is soft and wonderful! It makes you feel all the things! You wrap yourself up in a sea of bliss and decide to take a quick 10min nap on the couch (Sure.). You wake up 4 hours later in a pool of slobber and a form of lost stupor that only a GOOD nap can give you. Happy and content. And that is how you accidentally bought 2 soft and comfy blankets instead of 1 but you’re totally okay with it even though your husband is mad that you now have 102 blankets in the house when he believes you only need 1 ... AND it changed your mind from a 2-star review to a 5-star.

I have now purchased two of these blankets. The first one was a gift for my husband. I was looking for a blanket he could use while we watch movies during the winter months. I specifically wanted a blanket that was large enough to comfortably reach past his toes, and had plenty of width to snuggle up in. I also wanted a blanket that had a soft, pleasant feel, and was, of course, warm and cozy. This blanket checked all my boxes. My husband loves it, and uses it all the time. My son has been jealous of his dad's blanket, so this Christmas, I ordered another one to gift him. He was ecstatic when he opened it, and has been using it nonstop over the holiday vacation. I highly recommend this blanket. It is of good quality, having stood up to over 3 years of almost daily use by my husband, with multiple washings to keep it clean. It has not torn or worn out anywhere. The blanket also has a bit of weight to it--not so heavy like a weighted blanket--but it has a comforting bit of gentle pressure that adds to its coziness.

Disappointed. Bought a second one in a different color because we liked the first one (blue) so much. But despite the same dimensions, this one is definitely smaller and thinner. The softness and color are great so we are keeping it. But it is not consistent!

This blanket is so comfortable! It’s definitely worth the extra money to get this perfectly soft texture.

Grew up in Cleveland, OH then moved to Chicago,IL to attend college. Been told hundreds of times I should be used to the cold, well I haven’t. I am 72 years old and sleep in socks and flannel pj’s. In a matter of a week I will undergo knee replacement and I will need warmth to curl up with while recuperating. Went exploring to find covering to bring comfort and warmth. I ran across this throw and the views were soooo inviting. I ordered this throw. I haven’t even washed it yet and gave it a test drive as I write and tell you THIS covering is quite warm!! In Chicago’s weather you could practically sleep outdoors with this. Ohhhhhh yes Christmas is 8 months away, and I don’t have to look or wonder what the grands will be getting. An excellent, excellent gift for them and their parents. I love this throw and I wish it came in more colors. ****Update 5/4/21. I am throughly enjoying my throw. This is one of the best investment I have ever made! OMGOOOOONESS I am completely thrilled. I purchased the largest that was being offered and very happy with my purchase. Try it and see for yourself there will be no regrets. ❤️ I thought I had submitted my review, I am glad because I have enjoyed this blanket sooooo much I had to order one for our granddaughter who lives in NY and expecting a baby late September. We know it gets cold there and what better way to single up and be comfy cozy than with this blanket. With the air conditioning going the room can become a bit chilly and even though it is July the air conditioning can make it chilly. She’ll love this blanket because it is so soft, light weight BUT can keep you warm. The perfect gift for anyone who likes a little extra warmth when the seasons change. I wash everything I purchase BUT I haven’t washed this one and haven’t any problems in shedding etc. The only problem I see is the light color showing dirt…but I don’t think it will because I handle it with care. I order the large size and it almost covers our king. Keep in mind these will make anyone happy to receive this as a gift. Once you try it, you’ll be glad you did. Winter is not that far all. Already July is half over and the chilly months are coming. Try it you will definitely love it. 👍🏿
