I’m very impressed with DuraTex Speaker Cabinet Paint. It goes on smoothly and is very forgiving, it's great for both beginners and experienced builders. The finish dries to a tough, professional-looking texture that not only looks great but also provides excellent protection against scratches, dings, and moisture. I love how durable it feels once cured—perfect for cabinets that get transported or used regularly. Cleanup is easy since it’s water-based, and there’s very little odor compared to other coatings. Skeptical - high price for only a quart of this stuff? Well, I "splurged" and decided to buy it. HolySmokes, what a GREAT decision. This is the absolute nicest, most beautiful black coating for your DIY speaker builds or subwoofer repairs. It came with a textured 3" roller. Cheap plastic, but works PERFECTLY. Easy clean up with water from the garden hose. I watched a lot of YouTube videos on "how" to apply this coating -- mostly, wise older guys with experience. VERY helpful. For my two custom DIY made ported 6x9 speaker boxes, used about 1/2 quart (two coats on two speakers). If you are on the fence to buy this (due to the cost) - just buy it. Excellent product! Built a custom under seat sub enclosure for my silverado. Covered with 2 coats of DuraTex. Easy to apply and excellent coverage! Highly recommend this product to all! Provides a durable textured finish.

Factory finish. I am so pleased with the results. After some trial and error I ended up rolling it on very thin then going over it again and again with the texture roller until all the bubbles were gone and it looked as close to factory as you can get. I was on a time crunch and the product was fully set and ready to transport within a few hours of applying. I could’ve done a second coat but didn’t due to time constraints. Super durable coating, I plan on using this product for many future projects.

This product is very easy to use and gives professional looking results, it's not cheap but you get what you pay for.
