An amazing scanner that out performs many higher priced scanners
This is an amazing scanner that out performs other scanners I have used costing thousands more. Close and far ranges make it one of the most versatile scanners for high end hobby/professional work. Very well made and presented. The software is amazingly user friendly with on board image processing or connected to a PC with revoscan installed. Can scan some dark models well enough. Battery lasts about 2 hours on a full charge or use the power pack that is available. Highly recommended.

Perfect
This is just what I needed, took a couple of days to understand how to use it (lack of detail or holes in the earlier scans) but now one of my best buys so far, scan to print in almost no time

Disappointing
The scanner arrived with a lot of accessories and it looked good. But it was very difficult to scan with this device. It was keep loosing track, it couldn’t deal with simple changes (loosing the forehead when scanning someone’s head), used some of the dots on a bike frame but still was struggling. I tried it on sunlight, indoors with plenty of light and with directed light. Still didn’t work well. I sent it back and kept using my 8 year old photogrammetry scanner.

expensive scanners
An accurate 3D scanner is also a valuable tool for capturing accurate data quickly and efficiently. If you're a serious hobbyist interested in creating 3D-printed objects, a 3D scanner could help you replicate or modify existing objects for 3D printing easily, so some type of 3D scanner could benefit your projects Higher resolutions produce more detailed scans but may come at a higher price due to the advanced technology and equipment required. Software and Processing: Apart from the actual 3D scanning hardware, there are also costs associated with software and processing. The Revopoint MIRACO is a standalone 3D scanner with an integrated LCD touchscreen designed for portable operation without being tethered to a power bank or a computer. This structured light 3D scanner has an integrated battery that offers up to two hours of continuous scanning, and the 6-inch 2K LCD touchscreen can be used for monitoring as well as editing. The MIRACO is a complete solution for prosumers looking for a portable 3D scanner with integrated editing capabilities. Not just limited to on-device editing, the MIRACO can also sync with the Revo Scan 5 app via USB or Wi-Fi, so detailed scans can be processed with more precision or at a faster speed on a more powerful computer. The overall quality of the MIRACO and the included accessories is high. The overmolded grip on the MIRACO made it feel like I was holding a high-end DSLR camera. In addition, the magnetic buttons on the carrying case allow for one-handed opening and there is an included pouch for the charger. The large 6-inch 2K LCD touchscreen integrated into the MIRACO provides not only feedback during scanning but also an interface to edit and process 3D scans, making it ideal for portable scanning in the field. The ability to plug directly into an external monitor with USB for monitoring is helpful for real time feedback in a studio setting as well. Overall, I was very impressed with the ease-of-use of the MIRACO during testing. This is the scanner the market has been waiting for: simple, intuitive, and powerful. PROS: – Standalone operation for scanning in the field – One-click editing for fast meshing of simple models – Single Shot mode offers improved scanning ability for large models – Near and Far Modes can be combined for large scans with detailed areas CONS: – Expensive – Colour texture is subpar -3D scanning requires a certain learning curve to obtain optimal results -The software integrated into the MIRACO does its job but the desktop version and other programs are necessary to obtain or improve the scanned object -It uses a non-removable internal battery so in case of failure it can be a problem

By far the most convenient 3D scanner!
This is an excellent little device and would wholeheartedly recommend this over an alternative. It's able to scan small to medium sized objects AND medium to large objects capturing colour data too. While being fully self contained. Most over scanners can only manage one size range, so you may require 2. Also every other scanner I found needs to be connected to a computer to function. When I need to scan something I have to just grab one device about the size of a digital camera and that's it. It can be processed and refined on the device, or it can be wirelessly sent to a pc to do it while you scan another object. Another scanner would mean I have to connect it to my phone, or bring a reasonably decent laptop with me and likely be getting tangled in wires. This is just so much more convenient. It did take some practice but after a few tries I started getting really good results and when comparing the models to the real objects, they seem dimensionally accurate. If they aren't, the error is so small I can't physically measure it so for my uses they are perfect. Is it perfect? No. It struggles with black and metallic objects but that's honestly my only complaint with the scanner, but I don't think that's the Miraco’s fault as almost all scanners struggle with those kinds of objects. I'm in the UK and while the charger works fine,it requires an EU to UK adapter (the adapter is included) and annoyingly the adapter doesn't fit in the case but it can be charged with a usb-c so phone charger, it just takes a bit longer. These are literally my only complaints with it and besides that it would be perfect. The only other thing I would like to see would be an option to use it as a normal digital camera, maybe having it take a few photos during the scan, but that doesn't affect how it functions and just something I think could be added in an update to make it even more useful.

Pretty bad at tracking. It is something like Pop3/Range. Poor battery life
It is not what you see in videos. Very difficult to track anything, most of materials won't be scanned (there are some scanners at same price that will scan 95% of materials with much better quality). They just put pop3/range into same device and created something that isn't good in either of those two use cases. It will cost you huge amount of time to make semi-proper 3d scan. Whatever you will watch about this is not done by amateurs, they exactly know how to do it, where, when and how to prep it. Tracking is terrible along with battery life (1 scan + cloud => mesh will take roughly 10-15% of battery (5min),item dimensions were around 6x7x4cm). Possible worth 500 quid, not 1200 with all those competitors offering much higher accuracy, dream like tracking and easy of use (at the same price point). Unless you want something that is super, uber slow in calculations, any small models takes minutes to prep, super poor battery life... Then sure, take it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

Amazing !
Well packed and arrived quickly. Were do i start with the Revopoint MIRACO 3D Scanner. Lets start with the packaging and presentation of the product. Revopoint have one of the best presented products i have ever seen, there products ooze quality and you feel like the company cares about there product and customers. the packaging is quite big but one you slide the drawer out of the box you can see why. everything has its own place and is packed securely with care. In the box you have everything you need, you dont need to add anything to this kit to make it better nor more portable, EVERYTHING is in the box, including a handy carry bag to make it even more portable. I am very new to 3D scanning, 3D printing on the other hand i have been doing for over 7 years (resin and FDM), so thought there was going to be a big learning curve when scanning, this really isnt the case with the Revopoint MIRACO 3D Scanner. the instructions you get seam a bit basic when you first read them, but once you have the scanner charged and power it up for the first time you realise the instructions and the welcome video on the scanner is as much as you need as the scanner is so intuitive. very easy to use and understand menus and the scanner is a breeze to use for the first time. i had my first scan done and exported as an STL. within 30 mins of opening the box, yes it probably could have been better, yes i could have taken a bit more time on scanning my item and post processing, but the scan i got on the first go was really good, and after printing it i could honestly say i was over the moon, there was a couple of blemishes that i could have sorted out post processing, but i really was blown away on my first go. Talking of post processing, its all done on the scanner, filling in holes, softening, everything is done on the scanner screen. no need to transfer to your PC or anything, its all there. so what are my thoughts on the Revopoint MIRACO 3D Scanner. Well its amazing, even for an absolute beginner Revopoint have made it so easy. the menus and buttons are intuitive and where you would expect then to be. not overly heavy during use, but you can put it on a tripod if need be (small one included). The old saying "you get what you pay for" was meant for this product. its not cheap but in my opinion you get exactly what you pay for with the Revopoint MIRACO 3D Scanner and some!
