I won’t be without them from
I purchased these because so many people in a group were talking about g about how good they are. I had them sitting, unused, until one night I was desperate for a solution to a problem with my thread coming out of pace in the bobbin case, so I tried one. Total game changer. The thread stayed in place and I was ave to finish my quilt and several others with the first washer, which I recently replaced. Excellent results.

They work!
The spring in the bobbin case of my Juki J-350 QVP long arm machine was damaged. After removing the damaged spring, the machine would leave backlashes on the quilt back. After replacing the damaged spring with one of these washers, the backlashing stopped. The bobbin washers work like a charm.

Solved my tension issues
This solved my problem of constant tension issues. I own a Gammill 22” longarm.

Backlash springs wear down aluminum bobbins
I didn't have a problem with backlash in my Tin Lizzie longarm. My problem is that the steel backlash spring wears down aluminum bobbins. I noticed a tiny shiny sliver in the case when I changed the bobbin. Steel is harder than aluminum. Solution? Take out the spring, place a tiny drop of oil in the case, then add the Teflon washer. The oil helps hold the washer in when you change bobbins as well as helps it move freely in the case. Note that the oil is not necessary. Now the bobbin spins effortlessly in the case with minimal wear and no aluminum slivers to get caught in my machine or quilt. Problem solved.
