Excellent precision product!
Excellent product! I'm using it with a CDHPOWER extended spindle and it works great. 1. Make sure you keep the holes in line when you are PRESSING NOT HAMMERING it into the shell. I recommend getting some longer bolts or a stick of threaded rod to keep things lined up during installation Thread size = M4 .07. 2. Hey CDH! How about making a sealed bearing version?

Works like a charm
I wanted to upgrade the one-piece crank my son's kent incognito 20" bmx bike and this fit the 52mm I.D. (x68mm) press fit bottom bracket shell perfectly. Obviously, you need to pop out the loose bearing races/cups first. Note that the bolt heads go on the left side. Right side is always reverse threaded on a bottom bracket, opposite the pedals (left is reverse threaded)

Mistakes happen during mass production
I'm sure ots not a common problem, but the unit I received wasn't machined correctly on one side causing the barring cap to not fit properly. Other than that it seemed well made Whenever I have time to finish the bike I will be back for another.

Converted my trike to using 3-piece
This was used when I realized that....I didn't know that much about bikes anymore and had purchased the wrong 3-piece crank set. Well the crank set was for a mountain bike and I have a street trike with a standard bottom bracket set. After messing around with a bunch of different cup sets and bearings I found this converter and 15 minutes after taking it out of the box I was riding down the street loving my smooth turning 3-piece sealed-bearing crank set. For my application the bolts were the correct size and there were no issues with installation or pressing them in. I used a wood block and dead-blow hammer to tap them into place then cranked the bolts 1 turn at a time until it was set evenly in the bracket. If this thing catastrophically dismantles itself during use I will updated but it is really just a solid bushing/reducer so I don't expect any failures.

Little snug
This is a great conversion kit did exactly what I needed only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because it fit very snug which made it a little difficult to install but all in all it’s great product I’m very happy with it

Not for the inexperienced
First off, I build electric bikes for a living, so when I get an interesting old frame, I want to work with it. I had been doing bottom bracket conversions in the old style IE: cups, bearings and short crank kit. When I looked at this product, I thought "Yeah!" But that was not the case. The inserts are deep, so if the crank stays, seat post or forward frame sticks into the bracket housing after welding, you have to re-shape the new converter. No biggie with a cut-off wheel on your grinder, but don't breath the aluminum dust. The three bolts did not exactly clear all the stuff poking through the inside of the bracket, so a little Dremel work to remove a little steel pipe in the way. As far as the threading of the conversion, it is made for a sealed bearing set witch only depends on one side for support. No problem, just find out which side the new bearing threads into and that becomes the gear side. Using it with old three piece sets I have no idea how the threading would work, but from other reviews, I see that is an issue. Finally, I would, and will buy this conversion for future projects as I now know what it's limitations and installation quirks are. Hope this helps.

Worked well. I used it to install a electric conversion kit on older style bottom bracket. No issues yet. Used it for one summer.

Fits , nice n cleanly made. Only gripe is bolts could have been a size bigger, but still looks pretty strong. I'm comparing this one to a DMR unit.... so very happy considering the price difference

If you have never installed this, there are tons of DIY videos on YouTube that are really helpful. I'm switching to a 1 piece crankset to a 3 pieces crankset.
