For the money this is a pretty good helmet. The view through the lens is actually better than the miller I use at work. Not sure on the actual quality of the filter itself, but I can’t smell the fumes and it’s getting air from behind me.

I may have received a defective or improperly assembled unit, but as delivered this welding mask is not usable. The internal head straps do not fit my head correctly, and the mask does not pivot up and down as it should. When the mask is in the down position, the headband sits directly in front of my eyes and interferes with the auto-darkening screen. In other words, the headgear does not properly clear the viewing area. Because of this, I cannot even flip the mask down into a usable position, so I haven’t assembled or charged the powered air respirator or powered on the auto-darkening feature. Until the fit and pivot mechanism work correctly, the rest of the system is irrelevant. On a positive note, it does come with a well-made backpack-style storage bag that neatly holds all the components. Unfortunately, that’s the only positive I can report so far. As it stands, the mask is functionally useless because I cannot see through it when worn. If this is a quality control issue, Andeli needs to address it. If it’s a design issue, it’s a serious one.

I have breathing problems but need to weld occasionally for work this is the best investment I’ve made. Would recommend to anyone

I love using this welding helmet since it shields my eyes with a swift darkening response and its wide view allows clear sight of my work area. I appreciate the built in light which illuminates details in dim conditions and the air purifier keeps the air that I breathe clean reducing discomfort during long sessions. I wear it for hours without strain since the fit adjusts easily and the design feels balanced. I've used it already for various projects and it handles different welding tasks well and the clarity remains steady throughout.

The belt system is useless, the clip pops open and the belt material is so slick that you can't keep it adjusted. While I did not expect Optrel, Miller, etc quality when this is 1/4 of the price, this is at best a child's toy. The filter is basically just a car cabin air filter with no fume or VOC removal, so dust and particulate only, the fit and finish as far as the manufacturing of the blower belt unit is abysmal.... the door for the filter hardly closes, the battery is just clipped in and connects with contact pads, and overall the plastic is the same feel as a nerf gun. The helmet electronics and view seem great, but the harness and connectors for it are as low grade as I've ever seen. This is one of the extremely few products that I will be pushing for a return on. The air flow is pretty good... but at the cost of any real filtration beyond what an N95 would likely do (and probably better). It is insanely light for a PAPR system but I am not sure that is a good thing here... again it feels more like a toy. I am pretty sure the effectiveness of the filtration is the equivalent of the old timers on site with a wet bandana over their mouth.

The ventilation system is the reason I ordered this item. I am welding some galvanized I beam and this cleans up the breathing tremendously. The fit on the helmet is precise and comfortable. It has proved to be extremly durable through daily harduse and the auto darkening is fast and complete. This helmet gets use every day in the shop welding a variety of materials.

This helmet is a game-changer! The panoramic view makes it so much easier to see what I’m working on, and the auto-darkening feature reacts super fast. The built-in air purifying system keeps me from inhaling fumes, which is a huge plus. It’s a little pricey, but if you weld often, it’s totally worth it.

i have used this product and a 3m helmet. there is no difference in performance, this one is more comfortable and has a better viewing area. now lets get to the real difference, the cost of filters are WAY lower and contain the SAME filter material and specs. you will not be "BLOWING OUT" your filters which defeats the whole purpose of having them (read up on this please) secondly the cost of the batteries are way cheaper and are actually priced like other batteries, you will not feel violated by the price.. in short, i think it is a better designed helmet, it is better for your health as you wont be blowing out filters or told you can not get new ones as they are so expensive, the batteries last just as long as the 3m ones. i would never buy a 3m helmet again. this is a great product at a great price.

Bought 2 for our welding crew and they are impressed with them; no more fumes bothering them when welding and gouging. Picked up additional batteries and filters; which is a bonus that they are available.
