My September wall hanging isn’t quite finished yet but I surprised myself how easy it is to follow the instructions. I’m fairly new to appliqué work and free motion embroidery, and the book will help me, I know, to get the Wall Hanging finished!!! ++++++++++++++

This book has everything you need to know, lots of pictures and templates. So pleased I bought it.

Inspiration on every page. She has even included suggestions for batik fabrics to use if you want to copy her 12 Seasons pictures. You can also go to Edytia Sitar webb site and purchase ready bonded fabric cut outs...but full size patterns and placement diagrams are included in the book so that is an option and not a necessity... It is just raw edge applique but done with artistic pernash. Includes detailed suggestions for a variety of ways to use the blocks individually as wall hangings through to collectively as a 12 patch quilt. The instructions are so detailed...even to how you might copy the background quilting she has done...that a beginner could copy these delightful pictures...whilst the experienced quilter might benefit from her many tips and suggestions for their own designs. Yep. 5 Star.

Fantastic book. Lovely designs. Easy to adapt if you wish to change lay out. Good way of using up my Batik Fabrics. ( or good excuse for buying more)

If you like appliqué this is the book for you. As usual Edyta Sitar has produced an amazing book. Full page layouts and templates. I have also purchased her Hop to it book. Would fully recommend.

This is such a fantastic applique book. You will want to make each up. The back cover shows all the quilts, representing the 12 months. Full sized patterns are included. There are many pieces for each quilt, so you will have to have patience. There is not step-by-step placement instructions, so you do have to have knowledge of stacking pieces for applique quilts. There is a placement photo for each month to help, but you have to understand how things are put together. The final block will be 12" x 16" without a border or binding. Instructions for one month wall hanging measures 18" x 22". There are instructions for combining several months for a table runner, a bed runner, a 45 1/2" x 53 1/2" wall hanging, or a 76 1/2" x 73" ; 12 month quilt. There is a quick summary of applique, fabric selection, and quilting. If you are unfamiliar with these, you will want an additional book to teach those methods to you.

Applique

I chose this rating as I really liked the book. I saw it elsewhere for more money but wouldn't pay that price. This price was right. Book is applique patterns and not a lot of pieces yet very attractive. Would recommend this book to someone who has done enough applique to gain a little confidence and now ready to move up to the next level. I would not discourage a beginner from using these patterns. One could take one or two things, flowers, etc out of a pattern to create a simpler block and still have a pretty piece of handwork.
