Explorer Superior Shooting Stick in Black

I ordered this item to take on a sight-seeing holiday but it arrived without the ferrule, and one of the reasons I ordered this particular one was that it was supposed to come with a ferrule. I could not find how to contact the supplier on the Amazon web site so the only way I was able to contact them was via a review. They got back to me almost immediately and promised to send the missing ferrule immediately by first class post. It arrived the next day and was perfect. I am very impressed with their service. The stick is adjustable and suitable for all heights. It was not quite as robust as I had hoped and is quite difficult to balance on at first; however I am sure I will become more adept at using it after a few goes and it will certainly save my back while we are sight-seeing.

Basically good design, and light!!BUT, suffers from some major drawbacks, all of which are easily curable.1. Seat FAR too slippery; so can fall as one lowers oneself down.... Cure; wire brush on seat surface to rough it up a bit2. Will not go low enough for sensible height for sitting. Cure; pull lower end off, cut say 5cm off tube with holes, re-insert lower end. Now adjustment fine for walking, yet goes lower for sitting.3. Handle not comfortable if you lean on stick. Cure; wrap thick tape around handles.Now it is super. Pity the manufacturers did not accommodate these changes.

Just what is needed. Although the three legged sticks are more stable I can't seem to find an adjustable one.This ensure a good sitting position and can be used as a walking stick rather that having to carry it.

Arrived in an oversized and on time, the ferrule was missing, I contacted the seller through Amazon and the ferrule was sent by the next post, I find the stick very useful though the seat seems slippery. Overall I am very pleased with this sturdy piece of equipment

My elderly friend uses this all of the time. It is very light and easily transportable.

It is everything it says it is

Total rubbish it broke just above the spike and it had only been used for ten times.
