Things to consider.
I am writing this review to potentially help someone who runs into the issue I had with installing this flush. I, the homeowner did the installation. I have installed dozens of toilets, sinks and shower valves and am very comfortable doing so. This is only the second urinal I have done, and the first was over twenty years ago. Experience relative to a urinal goes a long way, and I have little to none. Having said that there is always YouTube right? However little is posted on urinal flushes on YouTube and none on this model. Installation is relatively simple, but when I was finished there was a loud metallic bang at the end of the cycle. Sounds like it needs a hammer arrestor, however, I had one. I repositioned the hammer arrestor. Still no success. Then, by accident, I flushed the fixture with the inlet flange almost an inch further out of the supply stop. The banging stopped. I re-set the supply line ¾” further from the center of the spud flange. American Standard recommends 4 ¼” to 5 ¼”. I originally had it at 4 ¼”. I moved it to 5”. I hope that a plumber or an American Standard rep chimes in on this one. Here is my theory, our water pressure is very good/strong. That extra ¾” was necessary in the rough in due to our pressure. Again, it is only my thoughts and I am not a licensed plumber or technician. I love having the urinal (American Standard also) and the flush now works very well. Instructions are straightforward and simple. A couple of the large nuts are already attached to the fixture (I spent a few minutes looking for parts that were already attached). Two suggestions, go overboard when securing water line. It should not budge! Secondly, a large, two inch plus crescent wrench (smooth not toothed) essential not only for installation but handy for future use. I also have easy access to the back of the unit which is a huge advantage not only for the installation, but for future repairs. Overall seems to be a very good product at a nice price. Hope this helps someone.

Stunningly beautiful fit and finish!
The below comments are part review and part helpful tips. These tips are mainly for people who are not professional plumbers. I am an engineer with a lifetime of precision manufacturing experience. I'm familiar with all the processes it would take to make this product. That being said, I'm blown away by the quality of this product! I literally wouldn't expect this level of fit and finish if the thing cost $10k, much less <$200. That's not to say they could sell them for much more than they do. I'm just saying that the product is insanely well made. The incredibly smooth finish will help make for easy cleaning. By the way, never use bleach products on chrome, bleach is caustic to chrome! Not all spud type flush valves are reversible (handle right or left, depending on where you plumb the inlet water supply), this valve is reversible. Not all valves include the male adapter fitting for inlet water, this one does. Do yourself a favor and use a flat face wrench (such as a large Crescent wrench) to tighten the chrome fittings. I usually put tape on the jaws, to further protect the chrome finish. Definitely, don't be an ape and use channellocks! The product comes with a paper manual. Do yourself a favor and keep all your manuals, even if you just throw everything in one drawer. Also, write the purchase date, the install date, and the location used on the manual. After your install is complete and you're certain the unit is working correctly, use that manual and buy a rebuild kit for the valve. Also mark the rebuild kit with helpful information. Keep the rebuild kit in a cool, dry, place, away from even the slightest bit of light. I keep my parts that contain rubber in reflective mylar bags. Mylar (unlike regular zip lock bags) does not allow air exchange to occur. This will help your rubber parts to have a longer shelf-life. Keep in mind that this product (well at least the exact one I bought) is set up for a 3/4" copper pipe stub-out. Obviously, PEX or other pipe could feed that stub-out. But, keep in mind that the stub-out will heat up back to the pipe feeding it, while you solder the male adapter on. You can reduce this heating effect by wrapping a wet rag a couple inches back on the copper pipe, while you solder.

Needs more support
Works well but must make/buy a wall clamp to keep it secure. Not for a rougher dive bar environment
