This was a great looking vest but runs a bit small

There is a lot of chatter about what size you should get with this item. Some say go up a size, some say up two, and some say true to size. I listed to the chatter and went up one size (I'm normally a medium, and I went large), and well... it's large. I suppose it depends on how you like your fit and for me, I can deal with the extra bit of room - it doesn't look too big - but I prefer a more snug fit and as such, I should have went with my true size. Through the body it's okay, but it's the shoulders that really show the fit is off. If you are used to looser fitting clothing, follow the up a size advice. Otherwise, just go for what you usually get.
